I think the only real problem with the Cell is the reputation it has. What i mean by this is a few people i know still think of the Cell as the same place as 3 years ago, regardless of the improvements - just because they haven't experienced them. We all know it's not the same place - but the rare old Cell hater doesn't. You can tell people that it's a totally different ballpark now, but until they experience it they don't believe it. I've gotten a few people out there this year (a few cubs fans too) and they really really like the park now. It's all about getting people out there for a taste. Some just refuse to believe that "renovations" can make any difference. I don't know if that makes a lot of sense, but that's something i've noticed.

That sounds like something out of a movie - that's how scary that is to read. As wrong as it is (or maybe it's not wrong?), you have to discrimate and you have to profile, period. This country is too 'free.' I haven't been on a plane since i was like 8 or 9. Not eager to fly again.

I don't really understand people's fascination with making Uribe our every day starting SS as early as next year. I don't see him ever being a starting-caliber MLB player. He is a super utility guy. I think the true Uribe is showing himself right now, i don't think he's ever going to be close to that .300 hitter he was early in the year. If Uribe is starting at short next year, i'll say that this team has some problems (and probly missed the playoffs this year)

I think in the 2 months i've worked so far this summer i've been to Portillo's 4-5 times. It also has a Barnelli's in side of it, which is good food as well. There are cops outside from like Noon-130 or so on golf road directing traffic in and out of portillos, it gets so crowded.

Well i think Brando is a good baseball mind but goes about his business the wrong way. If your opinion differed from his, he attacked you in a personal way - at least that's my experience.

Everyone seems to be jumping on this idea, but i don't see it. Uribe is as bad as Crede right now...so all you are going to do is lose some great defensive plays. If Uribe somehow rediscovers his non pop out swing, i'd give it a try. But right now it's a pick your poison type of thing.

They get the job done for me. But like others have mentioned, saying the score more frequently would help. When i get in the car, i want to know what the score is right away. I realize they don't know when i'm getting in the car...but they should realize people are doing this type of thing all over the place and say the score outside of going to/coming from commercial.

Let's get one thing straightened out here. Most of the people on this board live in Illinois. Therefore, you have a lot of Illinois fans. Just because someone says "go illini" or "i like illinois" doesn't mean that they think Illinois will win the next 10 ncaa championships. You are putting words in people's mouths.
