Asshat, nice icon, too bad we choked it away in the semis. In 2/3 of my money leagues Willis is on another manager's bench. Ouch.

AL/NL All Star Ballot Update 6/1
Regardless, it's not an exhibition game anymore. But that's besides the point. Fans still shouldn't vote even if it is still an exhibition, it's a joke.

Skipping the #5 guy
It's easy to say 'go with a four man rotation'. But then down the stretch/in the playoffs when our big four are tired, well...

AL/NL All Star Ballot Update 6/1
Um, it's not an exhibition game anymore To anyone that thinks that fans should still vote, i'd like to see you warrant Nomar starting after 'playing in so few games' this year with 'below average numbers'

Good news for out of Chi-towners
Do you have MLB TV? I've heard that's a good investment for out of towners.

AS voting
Fan voting has got to go, especially now that the all star game means something. I'm sick of big name players starting year after year regardless of the season they are having. It possibly prevents guys that are having that one good all-star caliber year from getting in, and that's a shame.

Nice article
The fact that it's since 2002 is just ridiculous

Ballpark Etiquette
Ya, the wait for the play/inning to be over thing is the hockey rule "wait for a whistle." I once kicked a guy into the row in front of me after he attempted to do it twice in one period. I told him that i paid to watch a game and not his ass, and everyone near me was in agreement. If people get up/come in in the middle of an at bat, i'll make some comment to make it known that it was a jackass thing to do. I like the MLB pension thing mentioned. So many people act like know it alls at games when in fact they know nothing. That gets irritating. And please don't tell me to sit down if 9/10 of the stadium is standing and you don't feel like getting up

That's not entirely correct, at all.

Neal Cotts
I've always meant to mention this, don't know if it's been mentioned before since i was gone a while. I don't know if any of you read Baseball Prospectus, but i'm going to type out Neal's entry from this year's book: Cotts has two big strikes against him: First, high walk rates that show he's not ready for prime time, and second, a whipping, violent delivery that places a tremendous amount of strain on his elbow. BP's Will Carroll, who has a book coming out on pitching mechanics, is as down on Cott's delivery as any in pro ball. Those two problems might well be related, since the essence of a good delivery is that it's repeatable, and the essence of good control is being able to hit one's spots on demand. Certainly, Cotts has some things going for him-his fastball moves well, he keeps the ball down, and changes speeds effectively-but he's in a higher risk bracket than those kids from Jackass. ***** I'm just throwing that out there for discussion because i found it interesting when i read that this year.

It simply won't happen. Fan voting sucks and needs to go
