  1. Can't wait to see Stewart take the hill tomorrow
  2. About the upperdeck seating, I find it is much more comfortable when the upperdeck is crowded. When it is empty I get vertigo at the top. In 1993 I went to game 1 with my dad and brother (my brother is extremely afraid of heights) and we were almost top row at the very end of the upperdeck in leftfield, because it was so crowded though, it was not uncomfortable at all. I hate the stairs at the ends though, I don't like knowing that a waist high railing is keeping me from plunging to my death.

    War is Hell

Why was what this easy? Invading Iraq? Invading Iraq has been easy because the Iraqui military is weak. Saddam is a threat because no matter how weak your military is all it takes is a couple of guys to release some chemicals, and then we have a problem. Plus he is a threat to his own people and he funds terrorists. Like I said, we are going to take the bastard out
  4. yeah, because the lead was 3

    TRUCE APU

Political talk is the most important talk there is...It seems to me too few people in our generation understand how important it is to have a political opinion. I hope Roman, that you still have an opinion and are sick of arguing not politics.

    War is Hell

I believe today we found a supply of White Powder, and instructions on how to use it in some factory in the region of Baghdad. Also there were traces of Mustard Gas found in the water supply. Saddam has weapons, and we are going to take the bastard out
  7. November Rain...classic song, I could listen to it all day. Last year in my English class, I had to put on a song for the class for a poetry in music project, I used November Rain, unfortunately my teacher caught it off after like 7 minutes
  8. Finally...I love that damn show, Apu...your news and Joe Crede's homerun have made my day
  9. The monkey is off the back!!!! First the worries Konerko looked lost at the plate, Valentin scared me on D Now the Positives Loiaza impressed me, Glover looked good, Koch got the save(though his velocity was low by his standards) 94 More wins, and we will be in october paradise
  10. Did anybody hear read the SI article about the Sox and Cubs. I enjoyed, though I hinted a little bit of the media's love for the cubs. But I still thought it was a good article
  11. We need a win...the monkey is on this team's back, and it looks pretty damn heavy.

    The irony of protests

That doesn't change the fact that it is ironic when war protests get violent

    MY BONG BROKE :(

No, but this is an off topic board. I don't smoke, but those who do should not be harassed about it, and try to look at things with a lighter attitude LDF, have a laugh about the broken bong
  14. My Prayers are also with the families of the victims
  15. Foxnews said that the latest edition of Newsweek has an article about Saddam using the movie 'Black Hawk Down' to come up with strategies in this war...thats ashame, using our hollywood against us, oh well, he is going to need more than that to derail this train. GO USA
  16. Saddam did not disarm like that code you cited says too...anybody that disagreed before can now eat there words because the soldiers found an eyewitness and a myriad of documents. So how can you say this is an unjust war when Saddam created by not obeying the rules...knowing full well the concequenses. TIME magazine had a survey that I know apu will like in the survey, 41% of those asked said that they would approve of the usage of battle field nuclear weapons by the coalition forces. I am no military expert, but I am guessing that these are smaller strategic nuclear missiles. What ever they are I am sure the words nuclear, weapons, and battlefield all in the same sentence brings a smile to all the antiwar people's faces. Also Apu, I know you are into that socialist stuff, and in my history class we are reading The Jungle by Upton Sinclair...I am sure you have read it, but if you haven't, you should read it...it has that socialist twist to it
  17. As long as Michigan keeps getting black athletes for the football + basketball teams, I don't really care...though as a white guy with grades that don't exactly knock you socks off, I guess I should be against affirmative action so I have a better chance at getting to one of the schools I want to go to...(unfortunately chemistry has killed any chance I had to go to my dream school, michigan)
  18. By the way I was just promoted to AA, after recording my 100th post. I'm in triple digits, and lovin it
  19. Two of those guys you mentioned, Fernandez and McDowell were drafted by Larry Himes. I wish Himes was our GM now. He sure did put together a hell of a team. And to trade for Sosa and Alvarez too, damn. The Sox should put any bitterness behind and hire him back as a draft coordinator at least
  20. Good Article, I think Koch will play a big role in the club house. He seems to have a very competitive spirit.
  21. I can't wait to see Stewart make his debut, I am curious to see how he makes the jump from AA to the majors. Buehrle seemed to make that jump pretty well, I hope we can say the same for Stewart
  22. The one thing the sox could use is an absolute stud young pitcher. It seems like we like to draft a lot of "stuff" guys. I like the Giants future with Kurt Ainsworth, Jesse Foppert, and Jerome Williams. Ainsworth and Williams strike a ton of guys out, but Foppert is unbelieavable. He is a 300 strikeout type guy. I also like Brett Myers on the Phillies...he should have a bright future ahead of him. As for the Sox young pitchers...I don't think Garland will ever be a big time ace, but he should be a pretty solid pitcher. Wright, obviously is a health worry, but even completely healthy he is not a big time ace contender either. One thing I would like to see the Sox do more of is draft college pitchers in the first round. The A's drafted Hudson, Zito, and Mulder out of college. Prior is also out of college. The biggest benefit of college guys is that you can rush them to the majors a little quicker, and supposedly you can stack up innings with them early in their careers without having to worry about their health. Though Wright is a counter example of that
  23. I read about that...poor luck for French's.

    The irony of protests

Well at least in the non-third world countries we are molded on ideas of peace, and not blowing up buildings. Maybe one day the Middle East will be able to try this. Who cares, whether Saddam has ties to Bin Laden or not, he still has to go. The guy is a threat not just to his people, but to the world. If he had no intent to use Chemical Weapons why would he go threw the trouble and risk of building them, knowing that it could lead to his demise.

    The irony of protests

Open your eyes; kids in these countries go to school and beat up dolls of American business men when they are 4. The school teacher they interviewed said it is a way to vent the childrens anger. that is called manipulation. Just like how since I was born I have been taught to hate the cubs, and now I will do so for life. If there are not some jarastic changes kids there will hate Americans for life, So don't throw your s***ty sarcasm at me, and try to say that the people there are not manipulated.
