  1. As you can tell by my Avatar I am a fan of the movie. I find it interesting, exciting, well acted and everything else, but I have never lost sleep over it. As far as it being funny, two scenes really stand out. First, when Donnie is debating with his friends over how smurfs fornicate and secondly, the health movie about fear. Every movie I watch in health is exactly like that. "fear will make you give into that tramp next door, and then you will die of AIDS!" my schools health department is about 10 years behind the 8 ball. I recommend the movie to anybody who hasn't seen it. It blends thrills, dry humor, social criticism, and even some issues about the big guy upstairs all into one solid movie.
  2. btw, does anyone else think that the anti-drug commercials are ridiculously reaching for a reason why people shouldn't do drugs?
  3. In fact to add to that I would say there is nothing worse than a liberal who knows little about politics but decides they can enter into a political conversation. As soon as they can't refute an argument they will revert to calling conservatives a bunch of dirty old men, or war mongers, things of that sort. It makes me want to 'bust a cap' in their sorry ass.
  4. Don't think liberals can't be cocksuckers.
  5. They have no idea what it is? Glad to hear he's coming back.
  6. The game starts later. In the two soxfest's I attended I got up early had a little breakfast at Lou Mitchells, went to the hyatt about 30 mins before soxfest started, got my auto's and was out of their by five, coming home to the superbowl would have made the day perfect.
  7. I would kill to get a valid 4th starter. I hate this whole Shoney fourth, Diaz/Rauch/Cotts/Pacheo/anyonewithanarmontheirf***ingshoulder combination battling for fifth.

    New Hampshire Primary

Unfortunately for the Rev. the USA overall is only 18%.

    New Hampshire Primary

In the primary elections all you need is more delegates than your competitors so every bit helps, and the bit is more significant than the electoral system. It is also important because when a candidate wins a state it gives him a huge thrust in the next state. Kerry wasn't doing exceptionaly well in NH until he won in Iowa. As far as why the Electoral system is still in place is to help people in small states still feel important. the 2000 election was decided by like 6 electoral votes, so the small states were important. If candidates were elected based on popular vote noone would campaign between Texas and California, so states like the Dakotas, Kansas, Iowa, etc. would be totally left out.

Speaking of South Carolina, Sharpton is second in the SC polls right now

were talking delegates, not electoral votes. Come back after you have studied the election process!

    New Hampshire Primary

Kerry Dean Clark Edwards Clark and Edwards are by FAR my favirotes, but the polls didn't cast a good image. Honestly I just want to see a split party going into Boston so candidates have to wheel and deal for delegates.
  13. Lets get it on The first town voted at 12 am, and the winner was Wesley Clark
  14. Of course the safest choice would just be to avoid drugs

    The God thread

When a population has the ability to pretty much create and control its own recources, living past the reproductive age isn't a bad thing.

I disagree with how you measure definition of success. If a guy lives 40 years and makes a few billion dollars, cures cancer, makes a best-picture movie and wins a nobel peace prize, is he more successful than his neighbor who did jacks*** for 80 years? In my opinion yes. Success can't be measured by endurance, only achievments. Alligators have practically been here since the beginning of f***ing time and they still haven't done anything but lay in the sun. In a nano-second of time humans have already grasped firm control over the alligator that has been around for so much longer. Summary: we own.

That doesn't make the fly more sucessful, it can have all the offspring it wants, but in the end I can still eat it.

Based on how you described that, there is no such thing as 'chance'. You are right it isn't luck that gives a planet intelligent life, it is a system of variables. Those variables include water, warmth, adequate sunlight, a sufficiant atmosphere, and competition among species. None of those variables are determined by chance, but all are rare attributes of a planet. Lets say every 1/100 planets contains one of those attributes, well by the time you do the multiplication it is very unlikely for a planet to have each and everyone of those attributes. In that sense the 'odds' of a planet harvesting any life at all, let alone intelligent life, are very slim.

In terms of numbers yes, but I could easily smack a bee against a wall, or grab a fly out of the air and eat it.
  23. by the way no pun intended in the phrase "gut it out"
  24. well a paper back would do wonders for the bolts, but I don't have a solution for the bell. I guess you just have to gut it out.
