Relating back to something said earlier by The Cheat I believe, I don't think Harris will be anywhere near as good as Johnson was. I think Lance is the only person to ever lead both leagues in hits in consecutive seasons. If Harris can just play well enough to play second base every day I will be satisfied.

Yeah I am not saying he is Coach K. or anything, and I find many of his decisions to be questionable. But Michigan needed someone to restore the dignity in this program and he has done it. Now either he will continue to bring in talent and Michigan will try to ride that. Or we will use our restored image to try to get a more established coach, I don't know which will happen, but I don't think Amaker's future is a pressing issue right now. Amaker may end up being the biggest hero in UofM B-ball since Glen Rice.

I have to disagree. Anybody who follows Michigan Athletics knows that the basketball team was in utter turmoil for more than a few years. When amaker came in, things settled down, and he cleaned house. He got rid of some decent players who weren't committed, and really brought in some strong kids. Horton, Abram, and Robinson Jr. may have more to do with Michigan's success lately on the court than Amaker's coaching, but at least this is finally becoming a respectable program again. f*** Brian Ellerbe (just felt it was needed)

What is worse is that the ACLU is defending a prominent boy-man love group (NAMBLA to be specific) pro-bono. A young boy was murdered and then raped by a gay couple. Lots of NAMBLA literature was found in the couple's home. The family has decided to try to sue NAMBLA, and the ACLU is defending them pro-bono. In good concious I just could not do that.

Michigan salvages my weekend. After DePaul's loss I was depressed, but now Michigan has at least put themselves back on the map. Nothing more painful than rooting for two teams that are sliding off of the bubble.

Its really disgusting when you think about it. I was fortunate that I never had a politically outspoken teacher in grade school, but young kids are so impressionable that many could be brainwashed by a liberal teacher (or conservative, but teachers are usually liberal).
