  1. Its only been two days. Just wait until he has been a week without food. He will say he slept with Osama if it will get him a burger (or whatever the hell it is he wants).
  2. Do you think he will say anything of any value? If our interogation strategies got some stuff out of him it could really secure a second term for Pres. Bush. Imagine if he were to say "Yes, we had weapons of mass destruction, and we also funded an Al Queda mission within the united states". That would be the mother of all confessions. If there is one reason why I would hope he doesn't confess like that, would be so we can all continue to read apu's criticism's of the war in Iraq
  3. When I am married, if I ever sense a little tension in my marriage, I am going to sleep with a well secured cup.
  4. I will be extremely interested to see how much media coverage is allowed during the trial, and how much of the trial will be readily available to the public. I am also curious as to how he will be punished. I think simply sentencing him to immediate death is not the best way to go. You don't want to provide the resistance with a martyr while they are still strong. Perhaps it would be prudent to wait until a new Iraqi government has firm control over the country before sadaam is executed. (of course they could always just do it mussolini style and let angry mobs mutilate him in the center of baghdad.)
  5. It is especially nice to see the pictures of the people celebrating on the streets. During the news conference, Iraqui reporters shouted "Death to Osama" when his image was shown. The people of Iraq are truly liberated now.
  6. I was at a game at a sox cubs game at wrigley in 2000, and when Carlos Lee hit a homerun, three women wearing cubs hats got up and clapped. The man sitting next to them, said "wrong team". They giggled said 'oops' and sat down.
  7. I hate when people kill themselves in the middle of a public area. It is so much easier to clean up when the shoot themselves on the edge of pier.
  8. Oh yeah, getting out of their is a mess. The best place to park is Pioneer, it is easy to get on the highway from there, quick deal. At the OSU game, we parked behind a restaurant in downtown ann arbor and traffic getting through Ann Arbor to the highway was a nightmare.
  9. Last season when I attended a White Sox game in Detroit I stood out in the seats in left field during batting practice with about 10 other people while the sox took bp. I parked myself back from the main crowd by about 10 rows. I didn't think any balls would reach me, but I was more concerned with watching bp. Sure enough Frank Thomas hit a rocket headed right towards me, I didn't bring my mitt to the the game so I tried to catch a 385 ft. line drive bare handed. The ball smacked right off of my palm sending instant tingling up my arm, as for the ball it landed 5 rows in front of me. I wasn't sure whether I charge over seats to get to it, or if I should hold my hand in pain. I decided to hold my hand. I lost the ball, but I gave every one else who had seen this display a good laugh. As for my hand, it bruised nicely, and the seams were imprinted for a few days. I took a picture of it, and I was damn proud to show it to people. To bad I can't show off the ball. My other story was when I was attending batting practice at Comiskey (before the 2001 renevations shortened the along the foul lines). I was in left-center bleachers (they still existed then too), and an Oriole hitter pulled a wicked line drive. The ball was headed directly toward a sox fan who was conversing while standing right behind the raling that ran down the wall along the foul lines. The man conversing did not see the ball coming, and the ball smacked the raling with a loud *bing*, from where I was it looked the guy jumped 10 feet in the air in shock. Had the ball gone through the rungs in the railing, it would have hit him somewhere in the midsection. Probably taught him a lesson in paying attention
  10. I know a couple that is in the process of divorce, but they still live together. The wife makes the husband sleep on the couch every night. That must be terrible to be going through a bitter divorce, and still live together
  11. The two most exciting Michigan vs. Iowa games I can remember: 1) Michigan vs. Iowa 1997, close game all the way through. 2) Michigan vs. Iowa 2001, God Bless you Marquis Walker and your awesome one-handed catch.
  12. Don't even start. Everyone here knows, (even Iowa fan Jason) that Michigan is the more talented team. Michigan beat Michigan that day, not Iowa. Lloyd Carr has never claimed victory before games. In fact before games Lloyd is a very composed coach. He simply says we have to do this and this and this to win this game. Of course, if you ask him something at half time he may not be as composed
  13. Page 2: Bowl Replacement Series More of a popularity contest, but it is a cool little tournament to explore if you are a board.
  14. I know the firing is old news, but I never had time to really give it much thought until tonight. I look at it this way, Reeves is one of the best coaches of this era, and knows how to handle a winning team. The Falcons have a great qb, and will be a strong contender entering next season. Reeves has a ton of playoff experience and gets teams to overachieve in the playoffs (until the super bowl where he usually gets destroyed). So why fire a guy that has such a winning history (9 playoff seasons I believe), when you our trying to win a superbowl. If the falcons were rebuilding it would make more sense to get rid of him. But since they are going for the trophy next year, IMO it is a dumb move

  20. It was actually Rix who slept through a final, and therefore was not allowed to start the game. McPherson was already suspended for his check forging and gambling exploits.
