  1. You could always go with "Roomba" But that's another thread....

    Roomba

Here's a picture of my Roomba. If we drop any food on the floor, he races in and cleans it up immediately! He's not as effective on non-food debris....
  3. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Feb 22, 2007 -> 11:24 AM) I really hope Dye gets to finish his career here. That makes two of us!
  4. It would have been nice for the game to be on a channel that more than 5 people get....
  5. QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Feb 15, 2007 -> 06:55 PM) Somewhere a Cardinals fans is likely making a spoof of this already. ... Perhaps Kerry Wood should be cryogenically frozen until scientists can find a way to protect him from himself. They need to protect himself from himself!!!
  6. QUOTE(knightni @ Feb 15, 2007 -> 11:31 PM) At least the homeless guy has somewhere to sleep inside now thanks to your accident. Fortunately, the car was still driveable, and I was able to get it home. Now, for the insurance dance.
  7. I broke my car this evening. Lower Wacker was still a little slippery, and (cue the Burt Bacharach GEICO commercial) I rear-ended a minivan. No one was hurt, and insurance will fix both cars. But I'm bummed. I feel like I let my car down. I think that pile of blankets on the left side of the picture is a homeless person....
  8. QUOTE(chisox72 @ Feb 14, 2007 -> 05:16 PM) The big 4 need to get their s*** back together, that IS where the season will be made or broken. Not the 5th slot. Get Jose, Mark, and Javier to pull their collective heads out of their asses and the division is ours for the taking. Preach, brotha!
  9. I really, really hope that we don't hear that this was a DUI situation. It's bad enough as it is....
  10. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Feb 13, 2007 -> 10:57 AM) You have to remember groups and Ozzie plans also gobble up tickets to the premium games first. Unfortunately to guarantee yourself seats to the big games, you have to be able and willing to make a big committment. That's just the way it is now. I don't think we're talking about the same thing. I'm a split-season (27 game) ticket holder. I've made a pretty substantial commitment to the Sox this year. Ozzie Plan holders only get one Cubs game, if I recall correctly, and don't get to go for single game tickets until after the split season ticket holders. What I'm griping about is that last year, when it seems that the ticket base was either the same size as it is now, or even slightly larger than it is now (I remember hearing that there was less than 100% retention in the season ticket base), even we split-season ticket holders were able to get Sox-Cubs tickets no problem. I'd just like to find out what's different in the single-game ticket sales this year.
  11. "Premium" ticket holders got first dibs on single game tickets, starting at 9:00 a.m. yesterday. Full and split season STHs got to start at 10:00 a.m. Given that most of us posting here got on at 10:01 yesterday and were pretty much shut out, I wonder how many "Premium" STHs there are. This obviously means the holders of the scout seats and suites, but still- why was this year so different from last year?
  12. QUOTE(The Critic @ Feb 12, 2007 -> 10:50 AM) Looks like I'm not going to the Cell at all this season. By the time Friday comes, there'll be almost nothing left. Oh well, have fun, you guys. Hey, don't give up. I know for a fact that I'll be needing to get rid of some of my weekend tickets in July and early August. And there are plenty of fans here in The Ticket Exchange section that will sell you tickets for face value. Where there's a will, there's a way, often in good seats!
  13. QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ Feb 12, 2007 -> 10:06 AM) last year I was able to get 2 extra opening day and 2 extra cubs tickets....today, nothing...apparently all gone. I had the same experience. I settled for getting two single tickets to the Friday Cubs game. One was available in left field, one in right center. I wonder why this was so different from last year.
  14. This is such a non-story. It's absolutely shameful how the MSM is running Anna Nicole Smith stories instead of, you know, actual news. But that's not where the money is, right?
  15. I can't believe it, but I voted for the heat. I wonder how we'd vote if we ran this poll in the summertime, say with the weather like it was during the 19-inning CHI/BOS game....
  16. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Feb 9, 2007 -> 09:14 AM) Speaking of tickets... my season rep said that the Season Ticket holder pre-sale would probably be the week of 2/12, which is coming up. But I haven't heard or seen anything about it yet. Anyone hear any specifics on that yet? I have the split-season package, and I just got an e-mail telling me that the presale for me (and presumably all other split-season STHs) will be this coming Monday at 10 AM. If you haven't heard anything yourself, you should probably call or e-mail your rep.
  17. QUOTE(SoxFanForever @ Feb 6, 2007 -> 08:31 PM) Figured I would post this here since I need some help too. Right now I am living and working in Schaumburg. However, I am pretty bored lately and looking to move. I would like to move somewhere closer to Chicago or into the city itself. I have looked at a variety of places and need suggestions. Anybody? Well, I found that Rogers Park is still affordable, and there's a good deal of development going on up here. It all depends on what you're looking for, I guess.
  18. I like where he's going with this....
  19. Great posts, Balta! I would encourage you all to watch "An Inconvenient Truth," regardless of what you think of Al Gore, politics, tree-huggers, and so on. It really explains this issue well. It really clarified and explained the issue for me.
  20. Does anyone know a good site where I can get some White Sox "wallpaper" for my computer desktop? Preferably for free, if such a place exists? Thanks!
  21. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Feb 5, 2007 -> 04:44 PM) You're joking? Don't get me wrong, I thought the ad was humorous. But the entire ad is a set of racial stereotypes, including the "No Speak English!" response when 'somebody asks you for a Bud Light.' I think that it's important to watch these things in the spirit in which they were intended. And I'm pretty sure that there wasn't any negative intent in the ad. I guess reasonable people can differ on their interpretations.
  22. QUOTE(Steff @ Feb 5, 2007 -> 03:12 PM) That one also was a bit uncomfortable. Slightly racist, IMO. Racist? Why do you think so?
  23. I liked the Budweiser dalmatian commercial, the Bud Light "English as a Second Language" commercial, and the Career-Builder.com commercials.
