Most of my friends know I post here probably because most of the stuff i tell them about I find out from this site. I don't really pay attention to the news so I get most of my updates here. A lot of times my friends ask me where I found out about something and i tell them Soxtalk. In fact one of my friends recently started posting here. LZPride08, give him a hard time

QUOTE (SoxFan562004 @ Aug 5, 2010 -> 04:18 PM) have got in real good shape the last 6-8 months working real hard, but taking about a week off from working out and it feels great, going to start back up tomorrow and my body feels refreshed! Yeah I've been killing my body in the weight room this summer, taking this next week off on vacation, then come back for maxes before i'm off to school. I haven't had a break for about 3 months now. I hate breaks, but it's a must for the recovery and building process.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Aug 6, 2010 -> 06:57 PM) Actually, for about the first 8 months, I had no cheat days at all. And even now I don't have cheat days (i.e. eat everything in site for that day). It's cheat 'meals' for me. I give myself 2, no more than 3 meals, a week that I allow myself to eat whatever I want. Just the other day I had a Gyro/Fries combo with a piece of Apple pie for dessert for dinner. But for breakfast I had a small bowl of raisin bran, a banana, one hard boiled egg and a slice of whole grain toast. For lunch I had a protein shake with 8 celery sticks and carrots (4 each). So I try to keep my calorie intake real low leading up to my cheat meal, which is usually always dinner. And you're right. One meal or one day can definitely turn into a week or even longer. It's a constant battle that lasts for eternity. Fortunately, I've been able to keep the weight I lost (67 pounds) off for about a year now. But it's a war that never ends. It really is a war that never ends. I went from 230 to 160, now I'm up to 180 with the addition of muscle. But it's all about the lifestyle change. You can't just lose the weight and go back to the way you were. You have to make the lifestyle change and commit to it for life. It's well worth it. It's been just about a year since I lost the weight and theres really no going back to where I was. I won't let myself become that way again.

QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Aug 1, 2010 -> 01:14 PM) Anybody ever deal with depression on here? Ive had yet another friend openly admit that they are depressed to me, and during that same night 3 of my closest friends admitted that they have seriously considered suicide and gave really elaborate plans. I try to give the best advice I can to them, but its just too overwhelming now. I have no idea what is going on, it seems like every friend of mine that I have grown up with is depressed and suicidal. I dont know if it's just the age that they are at (20) or what, but man it is freaking me out. When Im on campus I dont see it as much even though I have a job on campus that puts me in the frontline of suicide watch, and so now Im wondering jsut how wide spread this feeling is. Did alot of you have friends who thought like this? Did you think like this? I have a couple friends that have been openly depressed with me, one that actually wrote a will and planned how he was going to kill himself as well. All around my age, 20, as well. Its hard to really talk to them about it when you aren't depressed yourself but I've had depressing times in my life so I know how that feels. Whenever even the slightest thought of suicide occurred I would realize how completely dumb and selfish it is. Also being afraid of death is another reason I never actually considered it. And I conveyed that same thought to them when they told me they were depressed. You accomplish nothing by killing yourself. Also being 20 years old you have so much life to live still. They just have to remember all the people they care about and all the things that make them happy in life and realize its not worth it to just throw it all away because they feel worthless. They need to know how many people care about them and how suicide would hurt so many people.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jul 29, 2010 -> 08:09 PM) Woohoo! EVO owners rejoice! OS gets upgraded to Froyo on the 3rd. I'm pretty excited for this

QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ Jul 24, 2010 -> 09:16 AM) Exactly what role I would expect him to take over. I think its a pretty good deal for him and the Hawks. I think Bickell was happy with any deal that didn't have him going back and forth from Rockford

QUOTE (Brian @ Jul 21, 2010 -> 02:53 PM) I actually thought "She's Out Of My League" was pretty funny. And I usually hate those type of movies. The girl is insanely hot as well. I agree with all of this. I cant wait to see her in more movies, so hot.

QUOTE (Cali @ Jul 19, 2010 -> 11:30 PM) BULL. s***. They're gonna feel really stupid if Colbert or Daily Show win (which it probably will). They ALWAYS air that category....this is beyond lame.... hopefully they change their minds after a crap-ton of e-mails which I'm sure they'll get... that's f***ing ridiculous. Hopefully they change this

QUOTE (The Beast @ Jul 19, 2010 -> 02:05 PM) Did anyone record this? I actually want to see a reality TV show - it's amazing. Also, in the preview, they told somebody "it wasn't going to work out." Who was that person? Randy Williams, and sadly they were just playing a prank on him only to go on to tell him he made the team.

QUOTE (The Critic @ Jul 19, 2010 -> 09:39 AM) I saw Grown Ups yesterday. Not good. It had a few laughs and a couple good-looking women, but just a very lackluster movie. There is absolutely no conflict in that movie. It's just bad.

Do yourself a favor and go see Inception. I can't even describe how much I loved this movie.

GNC Amplified Wheybolic Extreme 60, been taking it for 8 months now. It says 3 scoops per serving, but 60g of protein is overkill all at once and you'll blow throught it quick. So I usually have one shake with 1 scoop in the morning, and then same thing right after my workout. I really enjoy using this stuff and have seen pretty good gains, and still havent plateaued yet really.

I was furious when we traded him, best of luck Jeremy
