  1. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Oct 2, 2015 -> 07:10 PM) Albers is good. Quite surprising just how good he has been. To me anyway.
  2. QUOTE (Lip Man 1 @ Sep 29, 2015 -> 08:16 PM) WOO HOO! The Sox are better than last year. Ummmmm woo...hoo??? Mark Haha. Woo.
  3. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Sep 29, 2015 -> 07:57 PM) Guy can run, play defense and take a walk. I definitely would put him ahead of Avi. I haven't completely given up on Avi yet though. Would like to see him DH to get him out of the outfield and out of the 3-5 spots (hit him 6 or 7, hopefully a new 3B can hit in the middle of the order with Cabrera back in the 2-spot and Abreu third). If it came to a choice between the two, I'd go with Trayce but I agree you hate to give up on Avi yet. He's still relatively young.
  4. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Sep 26, 2015 -> 02:08 PM) I wonder who the lone Fulmer voter is... Haha. Gotta wonder. I just think at this point how the heck do we know how he will pan out? I think he'll be good for sure, but how good is anyone's guess.
  5. Yogi Berra has died. Sad for all of baseball.
  6. QUOTE (winninguglyin83 @ Sep 22, 2015 -> 07:05 PM) more disturbing: One more year of LaRoche or two more years of Duke? Two more years of Duke though I, for one, think he has had some good moments. Two more years though? Forget it.
  7. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Sep 22, 2015 -> 06:38 PM) Brian Anderson would peek to see him naked, but never got to because he changed and left the clubhouse so fast. Well if that doesn't sound a little weird! Why was he peeking.....oh never mind.
  8. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Sep 22, 2015 -> 06:13 PM) Quintana's bad luck is just boundless. That too.
  9. The worst part about this being no-hit crap is the quality of pitchers doing this to the Sox. But, of course, no great surprise.
  10. I remember well watching that game. A great moment and yes, you just had to be proud of Fisk and to be a Sox fan.
  11. QUOTE (LDF @ Sep 22, 2015 -> 11:55 AM) yeah right.... what ever float your boat. Chill. I'm just saying (light-heartedly) one time the Sox did what you suggested that didn't too well.
  12. QUOTE (LDF @ Sep 22, 2015 -> 10:33 AM) i am ok with that, but let them both compete..... go head to head. then take the best person. Like Denny McLain and Bruce Howard? Doh!
  13. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Sep 21, 2015 -> 07:12 PM) With tonight's win, the Sox now have 9,000 all-time wins.
  14. Great job, Nate! Seen some gooood pitching so far today.
  15. QUOTE (flavum @ Sep 21, 2015 -> 04:46 PM) 13th pick, here we come! Maybe they can another Hawkins. I suppose they could can another Hawkins.
  16. QUOTE (BlackSox13 @ Sep 21, 2015 -> 04:34 PM) Mike was calling for Wolf to shut down the Sox offense but your prediction and mine are very close, and looking pretty good so far. Oh, that was you. OK. Yeah, that's weirder still.
  17. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 21, 2015 -> 04:28 PM) Was Trayce's triple a gapper or deep fly? I'd call it a deep gapper.
  18. QUOTE (BlackSox13 @ Sep 21, 2015 -> 04:12 PM) Whoa, that's close! Funny thing is after I decided to make my prediction I didn't even remember what he had posted.
  19. QUOTE (Mike F. @ Sep 21, 2015 -> 04:02 PM) How about we predict Randy Wolf's stat line against this little league offense? I'm guessing: 6.2 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 2 BB, 5 K I'll play. 5.2, 7 H, 5 R, 2 BB, 6 K
  20. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Sep 21, 2015 -> 03:27 PM) Laroche can't find the lineup in a double header. That's a good thing.
  21. Wow. I didn't know he was still alive. I remember him well and really liked listening to him. To me, he was more entertaining than Bob Elson who I found very boring. Much like now I see a lot of younger posters on here who hate listening to Hawk, I felt the same way about "the Ol' Commander" towards the end of his career. That's kind of sad. Glad you posted this Mark or I would have missed it.
