  1. QUOTE (ChiSox59 @ Jul 19, 2015 -> 08:12 AM) Bummed for Connor. He was a pretty decent ball player for us the past two years. But the Sox need D at 3B, and that he cannot provide. He just didn't make sense on this roster any longer. I'm like you. I liked Gillaspie. At times he hit pretty well but for whatever reason not so much this year. I liked the guy though; I wish him well. Now to get rid of Bonifacio who makes even less sense to still have around. Trayce Thompson makes more sense to me right now.
  2. Sadly, LaRoche has been a major disappointment. Wouldn't be too surprised to see him be traded.
  3. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jul 12, 2015 -> 01:44 PM) Too easy once again. Give a guy like Arrieta an even bigger strike zone and voila ,you have a 2 hitter. Bonifacio may be out the door very soon. True, true and true. Bonifacio has proven to be totally worthless and I really needs to be gone.
  4. QUOTE (South Side Fireworks Man @ Jul 12, 2015 -> 01:25 PM) If it takes this long, play should stand as called. Correct.
  5. Is beating the Cubs fun, or what?
  6. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Jul 11, 2015 -> 03:56 PM) Huge win today. Great game all around. Great to see Saladino, Flowers, Alexei all making contributions with the bat. Carlos Sanchez is hitting well. The pitching and defense has been great lately. Winning is FUN!!!
  7. Hey, I just want to say Have a Great Time! Glad after so many years you and your son can go to a game. I've been out of the Chicago area for 10 years and really miss going to Sox games in Chicago!
  8. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 10, 2015 -> 06:08 PM) The strike zone was pretty darn terrible. True, but I thought it was pretty equally terrible.
  9. I like that Saladino has finally gotten his chance. He was ok today. I'm hoping that he can stick and Bonifacio gets released. I liked the Bonifacio acquisition but he has been brutal. He's been a good clubhouse guy, I understand, but well.....we need more than good cheer from him.
  10. Aren't you loving that the Sox have gotten to be fun to watch again? I know it'd be nice if the hitting (especially a few certain individuals) came around, but the pitching, aside from that Danks guy, has been mostly really, really good. The defense which gets a lot of knocks has been pretty good at times real good. And, I think Ventura, who even I was ready to help run out of town a few weeks ago, has been doing just fine. This team is rolling!
  11. Great pitching, defense, bunting....I love it!!!!
  12. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jul 6, 2015 -> 09:29 PM) If you re-watch Melky's game winning hit, after Abreu slides home safe you will be able to see a rare Conor Gillaspie excited jump in the dugout. Look closely or you could miss this rare occurrence I noticed that too. I think he quickly regained his composure though.
  13. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jul 6, 2015 -> 07:23 PM) And there was another major league game in town at the same time, and a big rivalry at that. I'm confused. There's another major league team in Chicago?!
  14. Yet another really fun game to watch. This team is somehow or another finding ways to win. They're rollin'!!!
  15. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jul 6, 2015 -> 05:26 PM) Bad news, 0 strike outs Good news, under 20 pitches, on pace for a CG He's looking real good but that record might be in jeopardy....still early though.
  16. Great news! Sure hope he can get back to his old self. ''Nate looked great,'' Ventura said. ''Velocity-wise, he could probably go pitch now.''
  17. I love when Danks pitches and the Whire Sox actually win! I kinda didn't wanna watch because he was pitching but I was really glad I did. He was very good and Robertson: Lights Out!!
  18. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 1, 2015 -> 11:44 PM) You will have quite the dilemma if Sale's Sunday start gets pushed back for an extra day of rest to Monday.... World Armageddon. Buehrle vs. Sale. What happens when the legend of 2005 confronts the current Sox legend? It's like Mike Ditka vs. a sharknado! That would make for a fun game to watch. Sidenote: Sale was 11 when Mark Buehrle made his major league debut (a game I was at/Maggs had a two HR day incl. a GS. Buehrle mopped up in the 9th for James Baldwin).
  19. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jul 1, 2015 -> 11:25 PM) I know you were just joking around but have you ever been to Busch Stadium? About 30 minutes before every game the emcee says "welcome to baseball heaven" in regards to Busch Stadium and St. Louis. Makes me want to puke One of the few mlb cities I've never been to. I like the Cardinals probably in most part because they're the Cubs main rival. That, and I respect their organization. They're always good! Nice to beat them; too bad it helps the f***ing Cubs out. It does bother me a bit that their fans seem to be a little bit full of themselves.
  20. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jul 1, 2015 -> 11:08 PM) Love beating the team with the best fans in baseball in the home of baseball heaven The Cubs?!
  21. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 28, 2015 -> 01:56 PM) Chris Squire, bassist for Yes......he gone. Sorry to hear about that. Prior to Yes, Chris Squire was in a good psychedelic band .
  22. Nice to come through despite Alexei.
