  1. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jun 25, 2015 -> 01:02 PM) can't believe they ruled that a WP It was in the dirt, gotta call it a wp, but Flowers should have blocked it.
  2. QUOTE (lord chas @ Jun 24, 2015 -> 12:38 PM) Attendance is going to drop like a rock after July 4th if this nonsense continues I live near Seattle and of course look forward to when the Sox come here. I always go to every game (saw Humber's perfect game). This year, not at all excited. I'll probably only go to one. I have become somewhat of a Mariners fan except of course when they play the Sox.
  3. QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 24, 2015 -> 12:32 PM) They'll never change managers during this season. Just ride out the last 90. They're cleaning house in October. Not saying it's the right way or the thing to do but I fear you're right. Ugh. A long dreadful rest of the season.
  4. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jun 24, 2015 -> 11:57 AM) Even with Sale pitching Sox can't seem to win. Well yeah, they'd have to score runs in order to do that.
  5. My vote is in for Robin as Mgr of the Year.
  6. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jun 23, 2015 -> 07:53 PM) He has had a ton of rest this year. I think he needs to pitch Same here. Don't fiddle around here. Bring him in and nail this down.
  7. Wow. That was like bad white Sox defense.
  8. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jun 22, 2015 -> 06:56 PM) http://www.milb.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?g...ox&sid=milb No thread yet for some reason Davidson 0-4, 4ks Nothing else of note at aaa. 3 rookie teams in action Reality bites.
  9. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Jun 22, 2015 -> 09:04 PM) I know it won't happen, but I still think Quintana to the Cubs for Schwarber & Baez makes too much sense for both teams. I'd love Schwarber. Not sure if I'd even want Baez. I hate that this thread even pops up annually now. I'll say what I say every year, I can't root for losses but when they happen, that's ok, sad as that is. The thing is though, it's not even July yet. This is too early!
  10. Very sad. He seemed like such a great guy and was a teammate of Ventura's while with the Mets.
  11. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 22, 2015 -> 08:30 PM) That has been the case since 2001, and, before that, the late 80's, early 90's. I miss Paciorek saying Tom Kelly's "working himself up into a lather." Or Hawk going on and on about Brad Radke, Johan Santana, Corey Koskie, Christian Guzman, Doug Mientkiewicz, Luis Rivas and how good they were defensively....and all those outfielders and random players like Lew Ford or Denny Hocking or Matt Lecroy or Albert Blanco who would constantly burn us. If it wasn't that, it was Hunter robbing homers in CF or running over Jamie Burke. Oh, and Carlos Gomez, haha. I just plain miss Tom Paciorek. On an unrelated note, do you think there's anyone anywhere who has John Danks on their fantasy baseball team?
  12. QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Jun 22, 2015 -> 08:13 PM) Lol I almost hate this team. So uncalled for. I do hate John Danks. Probably not since Danny Wright have I wanted a White Sox pitcher to be gone.
  13. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jun 22, 2015 -> 08:13 PM) "I'll tell you what, Stone Pony, when we get this thing turned around there's gonna be a whole buncha folks wishin' they'd stayed on that bandwagon." #thingsIwantHawktosay White Sox fans be like:
  14. You gotta believe the Astros are still scratching their heads and wondering how the hell they got shutout by John Danks.
  15. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 22, 2015 -> 07:39 PM) It must be humbling to be Scott Carroll. He's like Phil Humber after the perfect game. I know they make good money, but what's it like to be THAT ineffective a pitcher? I realize all of you believe Danks is just as bad, but I'd rather pick on Carroll cause I think Fathom and Caulfield could whack doubles off him right now. Yeah, but he's what he is, Danks is SUPPOSED to be good.
  16. Since we're apparently stuck with the atrocious John Danks could he at least just be moved to the bullpen and take Scott Carroll's role? Better yet, John Danks: RETIRE!!!
  17. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Jun 21, 2015 -> 07:29 PM) I don't agree that Flowers is better than Soto and either do the advanced metrics. I agree too. I'd take Soto over Flowers.
  18. QUOTE (LDF @ Jun 20, 2015 -> 04:18 PM) you may have missed my whole point. beside trying to figure if the sox org draft pretty much like the other teams, trying to predict the draft is a crap shot. if anything i kinda of proved it with my fav's that were selected all over the draft order. for me, i love the challenge, enjoy seeing the young players develop and see how they progress over the yr. for me, the season for next yr college draft eligible players start at cape cod league. i really enjoy this part of baseball. Oh no, I got your point. I'm just saying that personally I don't want to know who's out there that the Sox might get just yet. I get that you're all over the college and high school players and I appreciate that. If it weren't for you and a couple of others I wouldn't have known squat about the players who were available in this years draft and I look forward to the same thing next year, just don't want to think about it yet, but that's just me.
  19. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Jun 20, 2015 -> 03:40 PM) Anyone wanna chip in for season tickets with me lol. Perhaps if I weren't 2086 miles away.
