  1. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 17, 2008 -> 09:03 PM) Man, the Giants have the worst offense of the modern era. SD is equally brutal.
  2. QUOTE (fathom @ May 17, 2008 -> 09:01 PM) Nice scoop by PK...we could have used a relay on that throw, and still got out Molina. almost needed it with that weak throw by OCab. At least it was a quick inning.
  3. QUOTE (fathom @ May 17, 2008 -> 08:40 PM) OC runs in quick sand....11 left on in 5 innings is inexcusable against this pathetic pitcher. 116 pitches thru 5 innings, 6 walks and 8 hits, yet we only have 2 runs without hitting into a DP. That is really hard to do.
  4. So nice to not have an automatic out at backup Catcher. This is the Hall we signed.
  5. Bases loaded. Damn, that 3-0 pitch looked enticing. Surprised CQ didn't have the green light.
  6. QUOTE (Heads22 @ May 17, 2008 -> 07:40 PM) I've always been a Zito fan, but he's looking godawful. Has any other pitcher fallen as far as Zito in recent history?
  7. Toby going oppo. Nice plan at the plate today against Zito. Mark making a bunt look easy.
  8. QUOTE (fathom @ May 17, 2008 -> 07:24 PM) Hitters just have to stay back on his pitches. Ump has a small zone, which will hurt both starters. The ump has made some odd calls today already. He is not giving either pitcher the outside of the plate against RH hitters.
  9. QUOTE (Heads22 @ May 17, 2008 -> 07:16 PM) Pablo looks like someone just shot his dog. or like someone who was hit in the arse with a baseball.
  10. 1st to 3rd on a single, opposite field hit, in the same inning?
  11. Fixed: I think it is a good idea to breakup the LHP. Also gives Gavin an extra day of rest.
  12. Mark pitched 4 consecutive seasons with over 230 IP maxing out at 260 innings in 2005, and has been 23-27 with a 4.47 ERA ever since. Zito pitched 6 consecutive seasons with over 210 IP maxing out at 244 innings in 2003, and has been 52-54 with a 4.27 ERA ever since. Zito is still a bigger shock because he has been brutal since joining the Giants. Mark just seems to be a little bit unlucky and is probably sad that Garland is gone.
  13. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ May 17, 2008 -> 05:59 PM) noooo. AJ is hot right now. Let him play while he is hot, and certainly against a crowd that will fire him up. After making those comments about the fans booing yesterday being "weak", he will really hear it tonight. AJ is 0-12 lifetime vs Zito. He is hot but you also don't want to kill his confidence against someone he's had no success against.
  14. With Cleveland's loss today, we are now tied for 1st in the Central with Minny. Nice time to take over 1st place.

  16. Tigers now 16-26, worst record in AL. They are 2-11 in their last 13 games (they started the season 2-10) and have already had 3 losing streaks of 5 games or more. Their playoff probability is down to 1.5%.
