  1. QUOTE(Hangar18 @ Jun 13, 2006 -> 11:26 AM) This was my response to SSKs 2nd question, To which I ALREADY ANSWERED. See what Im talking about? open honest and respectful, but Steff feels the need to try and air what might be construed as dirty laundry about myself, in order to feel better? or make me look bad? what does that have to do with my media watch? When you give it, you get it. You know me well enough to know that if you try to take a shot, I will return with a direct hit. To be honest Henry, I am the least of your problems here. The fact checkers will eat you alive soon enough. Have a lovely day.
  2. QUOTE(Hangar18 @ Jun 13, 2006 -> 11:06 AM) Oh, so you care about "harmony" huh? Arent you the person that defined getting "personal" on message boards? Yeah, I was booted, I didnt hide that fact. It wasnt a "variety" of reasons Mrs. Kiley for your information. Do me a favor, if you dont have anyting interesting to add to the thread, please dont post. Im sure others will agree. You don't really want me to start getting personal with you Henry... The disgusting s*** you did to poor "T" alone would keep you in your hole for years. Paying off that debt...? Yes, I care about the harmony. It's a nice balance we have here. Open, honest, and respectful. And filled with baseball fans. Not media trackers. Save for the occasional Jay thread this bulls*** has NEVER flown here, mainly because EVERYONE here, but YOU now, focuses on what takes place between the lines. You have your say here - it's something Soxtalk is known for. But thanks to that openness, you WILL get called out - as you have been. You are responsible for your words here, and unlike WSI that closes threads and tosses them to the Roadhouse you WILL be raked over the coals to furnish facts and sources. Don't like it, don't post. I know MANY others will agree.
  3. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jun 13, 2006 -> 10:57 AM) Didn't they say he had a pretty big gash in his head (a few inches). 9 of them.
  4. QUOTE(Hangar18 @ Jun 13, 2006 -> 10:42 AM) not much of a shock that steff is always trying to dig up stuff and cause havoc. Yeah ......... well people can dig up that thread and see for themselves what happened. Not always. Just when the harmony of THIS site is threatened. YOU are the one that came over here after YOU were booted from there for a variety of reasons. YOU made a point of talking s*** about WSI and their mods and members. YOU invited this on yourself. YOU made a decision to bring attention to yourself with this behavior. Yes, I will call it out when bulls*** is brought here. They don't allow it there and vice versa as a courtesy. They are both sites with a common purpose. Others here have been banned there and yet they realize this is not the place to air dirty laundry. If your goal is to talk s***, take it somewhere else.
  5. QUOTE(The Critic @ Jun 13, 2006 -> 10:30 AM) This is such a tired discussion. If your neck can't take a few hours of turning slightly once in a while (if you want to, you do get to turn you head away from the plate between pitches, to view the scoreboard, vendors, others around you, and when the ball is hit into the field of play), then you should probably watch at home, where you can angle your chair to view your TV perfectly. And your chair at home can be green if you want, too... LMAO... ^
  6. QUOTE(WCSox @ Jun 13, 2006 -> 10:28 AM) Didn't realize that you were referring to the back of the skull. I heard that the doctors had to open up his skull slightly to relieve pressure caused by the swelling of his brain (which apparently is common in head traumas), but maybe that's something different. And who knows if it's accurate. Anyway, his prognosis sounds better than it did yesterday and that's definitely good news. I heard the same which included them having to remove a small section of the skull at the base of his head where a small plate might have to be placed to fuse the bone back together. Thankfully, all reports state that there was no trama to the spinal cord.
  7. QUOTE(Hangar18 @ Jun 13, 2006 -> 10:30 AM) Yes I was banned for my media watches, (which they asked that they be placed in a forum that allows discussion of that other team) I was then banned for defending my point the exact reason was "your the ringleader" regarding talking about the Cubs. They dont allow talking about the Cubs, despite having a Forum specifically created for talking about that other team (theres your conflict) No one over there (moderators and posters) had a problem with my system of counting stories. If they did, this wouldve been brought up years ago. so no ..............those arent .......conflicting Statements at all Not much of a shock that your account of the facts are very different than those documented.
  8. Thanks 72. I hope the crack is just a minor thing. Everything else sounds healable and wont prevent him from playing again.
  9. QUOTE(WCSox @ Jun 12, 2006 -> 06:33 PM) I'm hearing "fractured sinus cavity" from several media outlets. Sounds like your source is accurate. Which I'm going to guess has nothing to do with the crack on the back of his skull...
  10. QUOTE(NYSox35 @ Jun 13, 2006 -> 09:08 AM) Poor Hangar 18... Lack of sleep last night... should be a fun day around here today.
  11. For the sake of credibility, you might want to get your stories straight... QUOTE(Hangar18 @ Jun 13, 2006 -> 09:02 AM) Mr. Knue? Is that you? just kidding. SS2K5's question was answered, he can look at my previous work over at that other site. Potshots? you mean me calling them nazi's? Sure I'll knock it off, the mod here asked me nicely, why wouldnt I do that? I too have many many many friends over there too, many of whom I still hang around with, my anger over censoring my thoughts isnt pointed toward the good folks who post there. Again, all of the questions your asking me have been answered a dozen times over in many of my MediaWatches over there. I find it ironic that nobody had a problem with my methods over there, I get here and you guys think everything is a Sunny Day, leave the media alone.
  12. QUOTE(zach61 @ Jun 13, 2006 -> 09:02 AM) There was an article in the trib about the cubs and it was mentioned in there. Guess you missed it cause you don't care if the trib bashes the Sox? Zing...

QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jun 5, 2006 -> 10:50 PM) I just got back from "The Break Up." I thought it was pretty good. I'm a big fan of Vince Vaughn, Jennifer Anniston is not bad to look at all, and the hint of Chicago is cool. I have to say the dinner scene is the best. I hated it. They missed a ton of comedic opportunity, IMO. JA is not funny, and poor Vince looked like he was bored to death not to be able to cut loose with his wit. Seeing her manerisms during the lemon and dishes scenes gave a little taste of why Brad might have left her..
  14. QUOTE(Hangar18 @ Jun 13, 2006 -> 08:47 AM) Well, that seems to be the understanding now ....................the SOX are very likely going to have ANGLED SEATS down the lines in those sections. For those of you who Love looking towards CenterField, this will probably be a slap in the face to you guys. For those who "complained/suggested" the angled seats, it might be happening now Source? Little green men and Reynolds Wrap don't count.
  15. QUOTE(Hangar18 @ Jun 13, 2006 -> 08:43 AM) It was ridiculous that the show was about Ozzie when it shouldve been about Was Grimsley in the right or wrong? What...? And give you another opportunity to b**** and moan and whine and cry about how the media isn't talking about something related to the White Sox... :rolly
  16. QUOTE(WCSox @ Jun 12, 2006 -> 04:14 PM) I'm not an M.D., but wouldn't they have X-rayed him immediately? If he had a fractured skull, it seems that we should've heard about that around the same time that we heard about the broken jaw. Unless they're intentionally keeping it quiet. Anyway, I really hope that it's not true. I have no idea. As I said, I'm getting it 3rd hand. The latest is that the knee injuries are sprains with massive cuts & scrapes and not broken or fractured. Apparently when he bounced off the van winshield he slid for a few feet after hitting the street. I don't know anything about Kelly's brother other than he does work for a local media outlet there.
  17. Pretty bad skull fracture (3rd hand from co-workers brother) and talk that he might require a plate. If he needs a plate... I can't imagine being cleared to play football ever again.
  18. Thanks guys. I had just read the link Mike posted. I got this from a co-worker who's brother lives and works for channel 4 in Pitts. "All indications are that Ben never saw what was coming. No skid marks. He impacted on the windshield. The van turned into his path at an intersection when the van was turning left. Witnesses said Ben had the green light. Ben landed on his head. He did try to get up but it wasn't able to. Witnesses held him still until help arrived. Knew his name, etc. Van from Maine. Ben was on his way to practice after an 8:30am radio interview. Coach and most of the team is at the hospital. He's serious but no longer critical as was reported."
  19. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jun 12, 2006 -> 11:50 AM) Real dumbass...wasn't wearing a helmet. For sure? MSNBC says this.. "It was not known whether Roethlisberger was wearing a helmet when he crashed."
  20. QUOTE(Hangar18 @ Jun 12, 2006 -> 01:04 PM) I READ THAT ARTICLE!!!! The article indeed states that the Chicago Fire wanted BLUE seats because BLUE doesnt appear as empty on TV. This topic on the other site would get dozens banned for talking about blue seats/attendance. I vote we do that here starting right now...
  21. This girl needs help... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y8PO3UErvvg
  22. QUOTE(Queen Prawn @ Jun 11, 2006 -> 11:24 AM) [vent] I will never understand why my mother-in-law thinks she can talk s*** about Brian to me and think I will just smile and agree. I am so close to telling what I really think, that it isn't even funny. [/vent] Jim's sister once made the mistake of telling me her brother did something she didn't like regarding his daughter... I simply pointed to her daughter (who gives Rosemary's baby a run for her $$) and said "do you really want to comparing parenting skills...?" Never happened again. If it was his mom I probably wouldn't have said anything though. You have to pick your battles with the in-laws that's for sure.
  23. QUOTE(gosox41 @ Jun 11, 2006 -> 08:16 AM) You were banned for your news media watches? Id idn't ralize that was the reason. Bob No, he wasn't.
  24. QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ Jun 9, 2006 -> 03:15 PM) Maybe he isn't in the affadavit. If he is, then his denials make him look terrible. We'll see. One person said HGH isn't AS harmful as steroids. That begs the question of how harmful they really are. Is it a highly dangerous product or is it a weak banning like Andro. And by that I mean that Andro was nver really proven harmful but was banned more or less for political reasons. I'd be curious to hear if anyone here has an above average knowledge of HGH and could explain it for us Naaa.. no harm. Just linked to strokes and heart disease.
