QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 03:32 PM) No they don't, that is true. It's more a 'nonindicated use.' A dangerous one, IMO.

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 03:26 PM) Haha getting lynched by a bunch of message boarders who think they know it all is a good time though. You are getting on my nerves. Having an opinion about how something was handled does not = being a know it all.

QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 02:47 PM) But that is not entirely true either. The double-dose of the pill that comprises the "morning after" pill not only supresses ovulation, but also can terminate blastulae that have implanted by creating an inhospitible environment in the womb. Like RU-486 it can therefore can also work after fertilization and implantation. While this is true, the effective % are so low, and the additional estrogen from the "overdose" of BC pills is not good, they don't push this practice.

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 03:20 PM) There's a lot of people who are completely turned off by Guillen's constant childish behavior, of course no one would dare say such a thing out of fear of being lynched. 37 of them... QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 03:22 PM) You kind of just defended me, almost, maybe, kind of. What the hell is going on! Why wouldn't I...?
-
QUOTE(rangercal @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 03:12 PM) Boo Hoo I got yelled at. Put your fears behind you and take one for the team. I think it's important to note that Tracey has not made any sort of "boo hoo" comments.

QUOTE(southsideirish @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 03:04 PM) s***, get a paper or read the article online. It's all over the place. There is no need for this. I don't read the damn papers and count on 99.9% of my news from you guys. You don't have to be ignorant.
-
QUOTE(southsideirish @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 02:39 PM) I disagree. I think he is respectful when he is respected. If you do not follow your boses' orders then your boss will feel disrespected. How can you respect someone who you feel just disrespected you? I don't respect my bosses a lot of the time. I don't, however, choose pubic as the time to tell them about it.

QUOTE(LVSoxFan @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 02:27 PM) Am I trash? Peeeuuuuu.. what stinks..?

QUOTE(southsideirish @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 02:28 PM) It is very hard to compare normal everyday things and your job to a team sport. It is a lot different. You're right. My job is much more stressful. SSI.. please, I beg of you, don't try to dissect this. It's a very general characteristic to be respectful to others. Ozzie doesn't have much of it. He could be different if he chose to be, but he chooses not to be. It is what it is. It makes him who he is, and a big part of the reason this city loves him.

QUOTE(watchtower41 @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 02:17 PM) Care to elaborate?? I never knew Caruso was a fan of the sticky green. Maybe I was just absent that day?? I suppose no surprise, wasn't there a poll a couple years ago that estimated that over 60% of major leaguers toke?? I'm not sharing stories, but yes he was a big fan.
-
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 02:06 PM) Ozzie Guillen isn't most bosses either. Trust me, I have been chewed out in front of everyone and behind close doors... It happens everywhere. Yea, but you're an arrogant prick who irritates the boss so badly that it makes it impossible for him to be able to wait to chew you a new rear end..

QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 01:54 PM) I met R. Kelly but I don't want to talk about it. I got you beat... and not in green. Michael Jackson.
-
QUOTE(WCSox @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 01:51 PM) I think that Ozzie was out of line, but I'll say this: For anyone who's never been unfairly chewed-out by a moody boss before, welcome to the real world! It's not fair, but it happens all of the time. And it usually has nothing to do with you personally. Just let it go. Hopefully Tracey knows this. I chew, and have been chewed... NEVER in front of peers.

QUOTE(WCSox @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 01:48 PM) I happened to be sitting at a large table with about six other Sox fans and Ray definitely seemed happy to see us there... and not in a fake, PR sort of way. Seemed like a guinely nice guy. Caruso was there as well, but he didn't have much to say. High and hungry no doubt. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 01:49 PM) He was probably high as a kite at the time. LMAO!! GMTA!!

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 01:43 PM) I'll never forget him about falling off of the stage at Soxfest in 2000 when I told Cal Eldred he was the most popular guy in Chicago after being aquired for Jaime Navarro. He kept laughing and teasing Eldred the whole rest of the time they signed, calling him "Mr Popularity" I do believe Cal and his "screw" still hold that nickname.

QUOTE(SoxFan76 @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 01:41 PM) Somebody asked why Hangar is here, and it's similar to why I'm here, to a lesser extent. I'd like to know why you don't post at WSI anymore. 1 mod previously asked for this crap NOT to be posted.. now a second one has. How many more will it take...?

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 01:30 PM) Well it is kind of gray area'd because really he did deal with him behind closed doors in a way. He didn't bash Tracey to the media, and he talked to him after he got to the dugout. Yeah the cameras caught the incident, but it wasn't Ozzie's intent for this to be public. I'm not happy with the way it went, but like I said, that wasn't meant for our consumtion in the first place. There are camera's IN the dugouts at Arlington. If it wasn't for our viewing he should have done it IN the clubhouse where there are no cameras.

QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 01:37 PM) Would you say he watches the world as it goes by. Yep... on a cute little LCD tracking monitor. I really shouldn't laugh. That girl didn't have a chance against his brain.

QUOTE(JimH @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 01:32 PM) Doesn't this belong in another forum? Uh hu

QUOTE(WCSox @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 01:30 PM) I was at a game in Toronto in '98 and met Ray Durham in the SkyDome bar. Very cool guy, very funny. Also talked to Herm Schneider for a while... REALLY nice guy. Saw Albert Belle in the lobby afterwards. When he saw my Sox shirt, he gave me a nod. Didn't approach him, though. He is one intimidating dude... and built like a freaking house. Ray is by far the funniest guy I've ever met. Albert is all bark and no bite.

Oh joy.. a WSI bashing thread :headshake

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 09:53 AM) Is it mathmatically possible? With the lower capacity, I don't think they will be able to sell enough tickets to push the average up high enough to get over the 2.9 million mark. It is possible - slim, but possible. And I shouldn't say assured because I don't whole heartedly believe it. I said before 2.5 and I thought that was pushing it.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 09:16 AM) The health exceptings I can rationalize. The abortion for birth control and less than desirable babies really bothers me. You mean folks who aren't ready to be parents and not children with severe developmental issues, correct?

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 08:32 AM) It's so sad how DUI's mean absolutely nothing in sports now a days, for an actiont that kills so many people every year you'd figure clubs would actually take action against the asswipes who decide to get liquired up and drive their sports cares 100+ MPH around town but no they really don't give a s***. It's just such a sad state of affairs in pro sports these days. It's not just sports. DUI's don't mean much anywhere anymore. No jail time or loss of license and just a fine for your first offense. It's sad all over.

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 01:21 AM) ^^^ Steve, you asked me to remind you to bring our gloves to cinci and since I probably won't remember later on tonight, I'll just stick it in here so one of us is bound to remember. Awwww
