  1. OK asshole... here's a reality check for you. YOU chose to have sex with someone you just met and YOU chose not to wear a condom... YOU also chose to support that child... so, get your sorry ass away from the payroll department and take your pathetic threats to someone who gives a s***. If your SORRY ASS had paid your child support - a measly $57.00 a week - like you agreed, we wouldn't have to GARNISH your paycheck. Loser!
  2. QUOTE(Queen Prawn @ Apr 28, 2006 -> 04:55 PM) Some people I work with really need to learn to mind their own f***in' business. A-effing-men.
  3. QUOTE(Soxy @ Apr 28, 2006 -> 11:20 PM) If you consistently tell her the truth (that he's a douche who will never leave his wife) she will either 1.) Believe you and break up with him or (more likely) 2.) Stop talking about it with you. It seems like the harshest way to go, but she's living a lie and at some point lies always get found out. ^^^ That's the jist of it. There are only 2 ways these things work out, and those are them. Bad situation all around for sure. But if you are close enough then I would just say... "hey, I care about you and I am sick of seeing you hurt - and that is the impression YOU give me. You are ultimately going to do what you want and you have that right since it's your life, but I can not support this behavior. I want to continue to be your friend, but because of how I feel about this situation I need to put boundries on the things you confide in me."
  4. QUOTE(YASNY @ Apr 26, 2006 -> 09:36 AM) If this 'victim' did happen to randomly choose 3 lax players from a collection of photos from only lax players, then this kid with assault charge is getting a raw deal. He was under conditions to stay out of trouble and perform some community service. It's possible that the only reason he is in trouble is that she basically could have been told, pick 3 ... pick any 3. He was under conditions to not be where alcohol was being consumed.

    Dam....

    Subject: The Dam This is an actual letter sent to a man named Ryan DeVries by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Quality, State of Pennsylvania. This guy's response is hilarious, but read the State's letter before you get to the response letter. SUBJECT: DEQ File No.97-59-0023; T11N; R10W, Sec. 20; Lycoming County Dear Mr DeVries: It has come to the attention of the Department of Environmental Quality that there has been recent unauthorized activity on the above referenced parcel of property. You have been certified as the legal landowner and/or contractor who did the following unauthorized activity: Construction and maintenance of two wood debris dams across the outlet stream of Spring Pond. A permit must be issued prior to the start of this type of activity. A review of the Department's files shows that no permits have been issued. Therefore, the Department has determined that this activity is in violation of Part 301, Inland Lakes and Streams, of the Natural Resource and Environmental Protection Act, Act 451 of the Public Acts of 1994, being sections 324.30101 to 324.30113 of the Pennsylvania Compiled Laws, annotated.! The Department has been informed that one or both of the dams partially failed during a recent rain event, causing debris and flooding at downstream locations. We find that dams of this nature are inherently hazardous and cannot be permitted. The Department therefore orders you to cease and desist all activities at this location, and to restore the stream to a free-flow condition by removing all wood and brush forming the dams from the stream channel. All restoration work shall be completed no later than January 31, 2006. Please notify this office when the restoration has been completed so that a follow-up site inspection may be scheduled by our staff. Failure to comply with this request or any further unauthorized activity on the site may result in this case being referred for elevated enforcement action.. We anticipate and would appreciate your full cooperation in this matter. Please feel free to contact me at this office if you have any questions. Sincerely, David L. Price District Representative and Water Management Division. Here is the actual response sent back by Mr. DeVries: Re: DEQ File No. 97-59-0023; T11N; R10W, Sec. 20; Lycoming County Dear Mr. Price, Your certified letter dated 12/17/02 has been handed to me to respond to. I am the legal landowner but not the Contractor at 2088 Dagget Lane, Trout Run, Pennsylvania. A couple of beavers are in the (State unauthorized) process of constructing and maintaining two wood "debris" dams across the outlet stream of my Spring Pond. While I did not pay for, authorize, nor supervise their dam project, I think they would be highly offended that you call their skillful use of natures building materials "debris." I would like to challenge your department to attempt to emulate their dam project any time and/or any place you choose. I believe I can safely state there is no way you could ever match their dam skills, their dam resourcefulness, their dam ingenuity, their dam persistence, their dam determination and/or their dam work ethic. As to your request, I do not think the beavers are aware that they must first fill out a dam permit prior to the start of this type of dam activity. My first dam question to you is: (1) Are you trying to discriminate against my Spring Pond Beavers, or (2) do you require all beavers throughout this State to conform to said dam request? If you are not discriminating against these particular beavers, through the Freedom of Information Act, I request completed copies of all those other applicable beaver dam permits that have been issued. Perhaps we will see if there really is a dam violation of Part 301, Inland Lakes and Streams, of the Natural Resource and Environmental Protection Act, Act 451 of the Public Acts of 1994, being sections 324.30101 to 324.30113 of the Pennsylvania Compiled Laws, annotated. I have several concerns. My first concern is; aren't the beavers entitled to legal representation? The Spring Pond Beavers are financially destitute and are unable to pay for said representation -- so the State will have to provide them with a dam lawyer. The Department's dam concern that either one or both of the dams failed during a recent rain event, causing flooding, is proof that this is a natural occurrence, which the Department is required to protect. In other words, we should leave the Spring Pond Beavers alone rather than harassing them and calling their dam names. If you want the stream "restored" to a dam free-flow condition please contact the beavers -- but if you are going to arrest them, they obviously did not pay any attention to your dam letter, they being unable to read English. In my humble opinion, the Spring Pond Beavers have a right to build their unauthorized dams as long as the sky is blue, the grass is green and water flows downstream. They have more dam rights than I do to live and enjoy Spring Pond. If the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection lives up to its name, it should protect the natural resources (Beavers) and the environment (Beavers' Dams). So, as far as the beavers and I are concerned, this dam case can be referred for more elevated enforcement action right now. Why wait until 1/31/2006? The Spring Pond Beavers may be under the dam ice then and there will be no way for you or your dam staff to contact/harass them then. In conclusion, I would like to bring to your attention to a real environmental quality, health, problem in the area. It is the bears! Bears are actually defecating in our woods. I definitely believe you should be persecuting the defecating bears and leave the beavers alone. If you are going to investigate the beaver dam, watch your step! The bears are not careful where they dump! Being unable to comply with your dam request, and being unable to contact you on your dam answering machine, I am sending this response to your dam office. THANK YOU. RYAN DEVRIES & THE DAM BEAVERS
  6. Bubba and Junior were standing at the base of a flagpole, looking up. A blond lady walked by and asked what they were doing. "We're supposed to find the height of the flagpole," said Bubba, "but we don't have a ladder." The woman took a wrench from her purse, loosened a few bolts, and laid the pole down. Then she took a tape measure from her pocket, took a measurement & announced, "Eighteen feet, six inches," and walked away. Junior shook his head and laughed. "Ain't that just like a dumb blond? We ask for the height, and she gives us the length.

  8. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 04:26 PM) This is probably the best post in this whole thread. Bonds was nothing but a prick to the media his entire career, and that's why so few are supporting him right now. Which begs to question.. why must those in big shoes be media whores? The talent isn't enough to speak for itself...? It should be. And because it isn't, and such a big deal is made of things not on the field, is how this bs happens. Many of these guys don't give a rats ass about the media but for fear of their dirty laundry getting aired keep the peace by speaking to the pricks.
  9. QUOTE(WCSox @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 02:52 PM) There's a reason that white fans and media overwhelmingly like Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Ken Griffey Jr., Derek Lee, Walter Payton, Emmitt Smith, Jerry Rice, Tiger Woods, and Jarome Iginla, but tend not to like Barry, Albert Belle, and T.O. And it has nothing to do with the relative tones of their skin. I have no doubt if the media put the bolded stars mistakes in bigger print the opinions would be different. But that proves the point that is trying to be made so don't address it.
  10. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 02:31 PM) thats just lame Perhaps, but it fits to a "T" a suspected bi guy I know.
  11. QUOTE(Soxfest @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 01:57 PM) Bonds cares about passing Ruth, Bonds has made MANY references to passing the great white hope in HR's. Of course he cares. Anyone who plays wants to hold records and they are damn liars if they state differently. Look at how I stated that without using a racist comment.

    QUOTE(aboz56 @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 01:32 PM) how much of a deal have you been able to get from XM? Got 3 months free from them the first time I called to tell them I was cancelling, and 20% off my renewal the second time. Then I got 6 months free when I told sirius I was leaving them for XM beccause of baseball season.
  13. QUOTE(LVSoxFan @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 01:24 PM) Please tell me that's not really how kids dress these days. I first saw those haircuts on the Gotti boys and thought: are you effin kidding me?!? Flock of Seagulls comes to mind... I think that's exactly how "kids" these days dress. Never seen something so strange out in the clubs, though I don't pay attention to those kinds of folks. I find it very true that those that have to talk about their pee pee's are packing milimeters versus inches. I would bet high this one and his "crew" are no different.
  14. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 11:57 AM) I want to see Bonds break Aaron's record. It's not going to happen due to his injuries though. Not the popular opinion, but I agree with you.
  15. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 11:37 AM) I've heard stories from a former teammate of Bonds which makes the comment to Kittle look polite. And I've seen with my own eyes and heard with my own ears Kittle be a mean SOB when someone asked if the money from whoring his POS benches went to charity... However, what does this have to do with Bonds passing Aaron..? And why is the fall back arguement always the racist comments? I've also heard from 2 CURRENT teammates of his good deeds. And one of them is white.
  16. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 10:33 AM) Wow, I didn't realize you guys worked that far north. Bonus would be that Jim could still drive... We're in Hillside, approximately 290 and Mannheim. Rosemont is just a few more miles down 294 We're trying to figure out the driving logistics. Ideally we would like to still drive together. I think they will let me work out a flex schedule - they indicated as much. Just have to work out the incentives. I've been driving since I got the Beem..
  17. :rolly http://abclocal.go.com/wpvi/story?section=bizarre&id=4110770 Man Survives 12 Nails in Head PORTLAND, Ore. - April 24, 2006 - Doctors say an Oregon man has set an unwanted record. The 33-year-old man went to the hospital complaining of a headache. The X-rays revealed 6 nails between his right eye and ear, 2 below his right ear and 4 more on the left side of his skull. The man admitted they all got there in a failed suicide attempt with a nail gun. Neurosurgeons removed the nails one by one. They say, amazingly, none hit major blood vessels or the brain stem. The man was also given psychiatric care following surgery.
  18. QUOTE(Cuck the Fubs @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 08:37 AM) He didn't, but when Ron Kittle asked him to sign a few jerseys for him, Bonds said, "I don't do things for white people" Ron Kittle = book whore = would, and did IMO, say anything to sell another book.
  19. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 08:29 AM) Rosemont? That commute would suck. It's 10 minutes from where I am now.
  20. QUOTE(SouthsideNorthsideFan @ Apr 24, 2006 -> 05:52 PM) All he wants to do is pass whitey ... Ain't that the pot calling that the kettle black..
  21. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Apr 24, 2006 -> 04:45 PM) Hahaha, trying to take a chance. The guy is toast. He shoulda gone under the knife so he missed minimal time. His fault. He got his ring. I still can't figure out why he didn't. It was all set and scheduled. The risk was no greater either way. But you're right. He got a ring, and he's getting paid for doing nothing.
