QUOTE(NYSox35 @ May 22, 2006 -> 02:54 PM) I gotta go with Fathom here...That was Juan's bad, not PK's. Going with him before or after I pointed out that Paul didn't move...? :rolly

Talks about credit scores - and the fact that your FICO # is more important than your actual score when trying to obtain credit. http://money.howstuffworks.com/credit-score1.htm A ton more about credit scores http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Credit_score A great site if you need any help disputing stuff. Over 70% of people in the US have incorrect information on their credit records hurting them with lenders and credit granters. http://www.creditmania.com/default.asp

QUOTE(fathom @ May 22, 2006 -> 02:42 PM) It wasn't a great stretch by PK, but that was an AWFUL throw by Uribe. He had a lot of time to make the throw, and he didn't compensate for the fact he was on the outside part of the base. Instead, he just threw it straight, and it tied up PK. Wasn't "great"...? It wasn't anything. He did not move.

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ May 21, 2006 -> 07:00 PM) vs. Flubs (Uribe f*** up) You mean Paul f*** up. QUOTE(shawnhillegas @ May 21, 2006 -> 09:21 PM) Cedeno's slide? no way, uribe just plain made a bad throw. the play wasnt close at second, uribe was a step off the bag when he made the throw. No way was that a "bad" throw. It was within inches and if Paul had put some effort into going another inch to his right he would have had it and the inning would have been over.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/12876396/ The letter A man wrote a letter hoping for forgiveness. Instead, he ended up giving his accuser a second chance to find justice CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA. - Liz Seccuro has struggled hard to heal. 21 years ago, she says a stranger suddenly and violently attacked her. And now, just as suddenly, he’s back. This fall, a letter arrived at her home out of the blue. In October 1984, "I harmed you”, it read. “I stand prepared...to begin to set right the wrong I’ve done.” *** The details are at the link above, but the quick version of it is that this happeded at college back in the 80's when colleges use to sweep that kinda stuff under the rug so he gets away with it. After 20 years he writes her a letter telling her that he is sorry for the pain he casued her and that he spent most of the time after the incident as a raging alcoholic and recently came to recovery and while working the steps decided to "come clean". he writes her a letter, she responds and then several emails are exchanged between the two. He avoids using the word "rape", but finally does say it in a letter. Then she takes the letter to a police officer who tells her that there is no statute of limitation on any felony charge in the Common Wealth of Virgina. He gets arrested and charged by the grad jury. will go to trial sometime next year, he could get up to 25yrs.

QUOTE(RockRaines @ May 22, 2006 -> 11:14 AM) Oh, and another thing that people seem to forget is that Ozzie "the savior" Guillen bashed the sox when he left too. Bashed the fans... something Frank has never done.

QUOTE(shoota @ May 20, 2006 -> 05:34 PM) That's right, it was at Comiskey. I remember a Tiger getting doused with beer as he flipped off Sox fans. That said, Thomas didn't throw a punch when teammates like Foulke were getting their faces cut open and another teammate was at SS getting mauled by 5 Tigers surrounding him. Thome didn't throw one on Saturday either. You have some bulls*** sissy words for him also...? QUOTE(RockRaines @ May 22, 2006 -> 10:48 AM) In another note, the bullpen didnt really contribute much in the fray. Logan is the only one I see really in the mix. Crede was bit late to the party also. Damn sissies. :rolly

Bruce Levine speculates about Cubs suspensions
Steff replied to BigSqwert's topic in The Diamond Club
QUOTE(SoxFanInDallas @ May 22, 2006 -> 09:53 AM) There is no official announcement anywhere I can find. I checked both the White Sox and Cubs sites, ESPN,and CBSSportsline. No postings yet! Sounds like the NY media was just speculating. -
QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ May 21, 2006 -> 07:03 PM) Good, I hope he misses a month or more. I wish injury and bad luck on that team and their fans after their embarassing display of class this weekend. I know eye for an eye is a bit childish, but in this case I will follow it. What did their fans do...? Nothing but class around us when the incident went down Saturday. Several Cub fans got tossed from the 1b dugout area because they were yelling at Baker. QUOTE(Cuck the Fubs @ May 21, 2006 -> 09:15 PM) I don't wish injury on anyone, including Cubs, but I can't help not laughing at how many times he's been injured. Stick another pin in the right shoulder of the voodoo dool known as Kid Rx, as Mariotti would say Guess it's your alter ego posting death to Bonds, eh? :rolly

QUOTE(RX Bandits @ May 22, 2006 -> 12:11 AM) this is all bulls***. it's on no websites and its on a sunday night. plus why would they announce the cubs suspensions but not the sox? How could they issue any without even viewing the tapes which they weren't to do until today...? QUOTE(Dick Allen @ May 22, 2006 -> 09:32 AM) I think its BS because isn't the league office which from where these suspensions are handed down closed on the weekends? Why would they have suspensions for 1 team figured out, but not both? ^^ -

QUOTE(WCSox @ May 18, 2006 -> 04:38 PM) He played like crap until about June and then went on an absolute tear. I've never seen a hot streak like that since. Something good must have been going on in his life about that time... :rolly

QUOTE(fathom @ May 18, 2006 -> 02:32 PM) I don't get it? Am I being heckled for knowing a thing or two about the Cubs system? It's hard not to when there's a column a week about Pie in the paper. Yes..
-
QUOTE(fathom @ May 18, 2006 -> 02:29 PM) Why would they call up Pie if Ramirez is hurt? And there's a reason that Pie's not been called up yet....many people feel he's not close to being polished enough to produce at the MLB level. Noooooooooo.. not you 2 fathom???
-
QUOTE(Cuck the Fubs @ May 18, 2006 -> 02:28 PM) I guess so. And I can see the Cubs still refusing to call up Pie You know who's in their minor league system...??? CCF... I swear by it.
-
QUOTE(KevHead0881 @ May 18, 2006 -> 02:16 PM) Post from Cuck the Fubs coming in 5, 4, 3, 2.... LMAO

QUOTE(aboz56 @ May 18, 2006 -> 10:37 AM) Also, what's with posting any of this Cubs crap? We're world champs, why are we even talking about them, their fans or what is going on there? Ask the CCF posting all the s***...

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ May 18, 2006 -> 12:01 PM) They went to this a few years back hoping to cut down on the drinking time before games, also hoping to cut down on the fights. He's referring to a night game being played on get-a-way day. They are usually day games.
