QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 08:34 PM) Thanks Steff. I think it might be worth the risk, just based on a few things. 1) If I end up not scoring tickets, I will still be downtown, maybe trying to squeez my way into Jimbos or even hang out at Grandstand. 2) I am planning on going alone. My thinking if I go alone, I might be able to score a single game ticket for cheap. It could backfire however, if the guy only wants to sell a set. 3)I really am going to give myself a set limit, only bringing down $350, and having $300 for 1 ticket. We shall see what happens. If a guy has tickets.. he'll sell a single as fast as a set. Sometimes faster. Jimbo's won't be crowded during the game, so that's a good option. Good limit. I think that's reasonable and think you'll score. Which day are you coming down?

QUOTE(peanut33tillman @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 07:09 PM) I believe so but am not postive bue yes I could've sworn I saw tix selling for SRO(Standing Room Only) No.

The only thing that would piss me off right now.. us not being in the playoffs.

I agree, no Mike. And personally I don't care if Hawk is there or not. He was invited, he declined. His loss.

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 06:45 PM) Im not going to read the whole thread for answer, because im just lazy to be honest, but if I was to go down to game 1, no tickets obviously, and wait till after 1st pitch, or right before, do you think I could score tickets for under 300? I know the ALCS there was not demand like everyone was expecting, but I know this is a whole new ballgame... Tony, it's all a crap shoot at this point. It's all going to depend on the demand at the park. If a ton of brokers are walking around with tickets that didn't sell... then the odds are good. The fact that people got CS tickets for under face after the first pitch is a good indicator. What those idiots don't realize is that Sox fans would rather watch the game at a bar then to spend $500 to go in. Once they get that, the prices will come down. I honestly would not be surprised to see them come down by Thursday by 50% of what they are today.

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 07:24 PM) Got a question. Is there a way to cut a deal with a ticket broker or someone where if you wanted tix to one teams world series and you had tix to another teams series (obviously you can't really do it this year, but if it was ahead of time) would you be able to make some sort of deal with a broker so you could trade a set of world series tix to a team you didn't care for, for one that you do want to see. Like a Cardinal fan purchasing them and than dealing them for White Sox tickets (obviously this would have to be done in advance). Just curious. Yep. The broker I know made deals with both Stros and St Louis ST holders.

Hey Dick... lookie who's got plenty of WS tickets.... And those are Season Ticket Holders tickets.. Nice, eh? Quote: Front Row Chicago owner Eric Soderholm - a former White Sox player - holds World Series tickets that his company is selling

Hmm.. strange. Must dig for real reason he's not coming...

QUOTE(LVSoxFan @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 04:47 PM) Well gee THANKS for the newsflash Steff!! I guess I expected it to be more in the $20 range or something obscene like that. I went to a concert at Double Door not too long ago and got 4 tix for $10 face value. TM tacked on $4 per TICKET charge. That's right: $16 service charge on a $40 order. 40%. So I guess I'm surprised TM isn't raping people on the World Series tix. I was implying $11 PER ticket.

QUOTE(RibbieRubarb @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 04:43 PM) my season tix are in the upper deck and I love them. I've had them for 13 years. Hey Ribbs.. what's the avaliabilty of 533, lower rows, up there.. ?

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 04:45 PM) I still think you are missing out on the majority of the ballpark ammenities, including the concourse. To each their own I guess, I just feel if im going to drop alot of dough, might as well be close to the action. If you have ST in the UD you are allowed downstairs.

QUOTE(LVSoxFan @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 04:33 PM) $11 seems awfully low. I did ticketfast regular season and when all was said and done it would be something like $8 on a $30-something ticket. $11 per ticket is higher than $8 per ticket with the math I learned.
-
QUOTE(RibbieRubarb @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 04:11 PM) Patience... Patience... Oh.. I'm fine. And I don't need them for anything. I'm referring to those that are waiting to hear from them... don't fret.

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 04:08 PM) My reps VM is full. He hasnt responded to my e-mails. Grrrrrr They haven't responded to any calls or emails since yesterday. And they wont be until at least tomorrow mid morning.

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 04:05 PM) Anyone downtown, or on the northside of the city? Umm.. wont you be AT the games...??

QUOTE(Soxfest @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 04:03 PM) He does we drew out of a hat which family member went to what series, ADS and ALCS or WS I won first 2 rounds so I am out of the world series running. Oh crap. That stinks. But at least you got to see some awesome games.
-
QUOTE(RockRaines @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 03:51 PM) UD huh? Yes Rock.. 533 Premium Upper Box to boot.. the hottest ticket in the UD. Mainly, if not all, sold to ST holders. And the third cheapest in the park. I can't wait till the reps are answering their phones again... so many questions.
-
QUOTE(valponick @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 03:45 PM) $19 for 4 tickets. Was it more for Ticketfast?
-
QUOTE(illinilaw08 @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 03:41 PM) The site froze as I was giving credit card information so I did not actually get tickets, but it was $5 per ticket in service fee. More like $11 total is what I saw.

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 03:36 PM) Ok, so based on what you've 'heard' from someone, not you of course, who might possibly have scored tix this way........how long does it take the system to reject CC and put those tix back into circulation?? 24 hours for declined CC's. Friday after 9pm for non-pick-ups.

QUOTE(Soxfest @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 03:35 PM) I got shut out again and I am not going to pay crazy prices to sit in the upperdeck. TV at home is a fine alternative to me Soxfest I thought your dad had season tickets..??
-
QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 03:09 PM) Good question. I'm sure a very small % get rejected for bad cards, duplicate orders etc. When and where do those go back up? Back to ticketmaster as they are declined and printed on Ticketfast. IMO, just call TM everyday and inquire. It's just a phone call. What have you got to lose.

QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 03:00 PM) I got a couple Cubs guys here planning on going down there to raise holy hell on Saturday. Both of them the type of guys the Sox are accused of having for fans. BUt be well aware, they are HUGE Cubs fans. I'm thinking I will just keep my mouth shut. They will be drunk for sure...so let 'em get arrested. They will also be wearing Cubs gear...so no worries about them being mistaken for Sox fans. Oooo.. I hope they run into me...

QUOTE(salty99 @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 02:55 PM) My boss just got the call...all world series are gone. But if you would still like 06 season tickets..blah blah He sent in his application last night. When this turns out to be bulls***, this person should be banned, IMO.

QUOTE(Chisoxrd5 @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 02:49 PM) meh....if I get them Thursday it will hard to turn them for a profit by Saturday Should I hold my breath waiting for this phone call? Text..
