QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Apr 5, 2008 -> 06:47 PM) Do you mean in 3 straight games? Cause he did have that whole 40 some odd no hit innings thing where he was converting saves left and right. Yes. Obviously what I said made no sense.
-
When was the last time Bobby converted 3 straight saves? Usually that third try is blown.

Big time to get that out. It's sad to say but you don't want to face Inge right now. -

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Apr 5, 2008 -> 06:05 PM) You know, today's a day where it kind of sucks that we went with Masset and MMac, because Dotel and Linebrink have pitched the last couple games, and it'd be nice to be able to have another righty setup man we are willing to count on with a 2 run lead to pass it over to the closer. Well Masset ended up sparing the pen in the first game and pitched well. MMac is useless, and he's being paid more. -

QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Apr 5, 2008 -> 05:53 PM) Phew. Inge crushed it but Swish ran it down. 2 dead. Inge seems like the master of the hot start. Every year he looks like a world beater in April. -

QUOTE(CWSOX45 @ Apr 5, 2008 -> 05:38 PM) The same umpiring crew that had problems opening day nearly just screwed the Mets royally......Did you guys in Chicago get that update yet? How that ump missed that call is UNREAL. That was the most obvious trap ever. Good thing they corrected it. -

QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Apr 5, 2008 -> 05:18 PM) A bit erratic. Behind in the count to a lot of hitters, but making some good pitches. Got burned on a fastball up and in on Inge. Overall, he hasn't been great, but he hasn't been bad either. As far as fifth starters go I can handle that. The offense needs to wake up. -

Willis has thrown 73 pitches, 34 for balls. That's God awful. Can't this team be patient once. -

QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Apr 5, 2008 -> 04:02 PM) I'm amazed that no one but Swisher stood in there and made this chump throw strikes. Wow. I'm over it. PK is obviously never going to change. Cabrera has yet to wait a pitcher out. That's what this team is has been. -

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Apr 5, 2008 -> 11:29 AM) Huh? Finally facing minor league pitching making him worse? And you dont know who is better right now since Josh is in AAA. There is no debate unless they are both up facing major league pitching. I said facing non-spring training pitching could be making him worse. There's a difference.
-
QUOTE(BearSox @ Apr 5, 2008 -> 03:09 AM) I wouldn't be surprised if it is something mental going on with him... After all, he had a very good rookie season, outpreforms Crede in ST, and yet he gets sent down. I wouldn't be surprised if he's finally facing pitchers that aren't in spring training working on throwing strikes rather than getting guys out. He could also be a slow starter. I wasn't a fan of Crede starting at 3rd this season, but a healthy Crede is better than Fields right now.

I've ripped on Singleton more than anyone, but he seems like a natural for TV.

QUOTE(chimpy2121 @ Apr 5, 2008 -> 01:21 AM) Ugh, stupid Fox...I get NYM/Braves here. If if I go to a Bdubs will they have it or is it blacked out for everything (like how it is for mlbtv.com)? Its blacked out completely on Saturday if Fox has the rights. Which they do. I'm screwed too. -
Apparently the Sox only win when I don't watch. So that should help tomorrow too.

QUOTE(ChiSox1323 @ Apr 4, 2008 -> 06:32 PM) i got these in the white sox wire email. i dont know if the links will work but here they are. http://mlb.mlb.com/media/player/mp_tpl.jsp...swisher_400.wmv http://mlb.mlb.com/media/player/mp_tpl.jsp...konerko_400.wmv I'm not impressed. The concepts are fine, but they just aren't good.

QUOTE(Wanne @ Apr 4, 2008 -> 07:46 PM) When I was that age it was 19. I turned 19 in October (of '79) and they switched it to 21 that Jan 1 and didn't even have the nads to Grandfather Clause it. So I had 2 1/2 mo. to drink legally. But I was a master of the ID doctoring...so it didn't matter too much. That is the s***iest luck.

QUOTE(CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Apr 4, 2008 -> 06:17 PM) if you were old enough to drink in the 60's lets say that was 40 years ago that would make you at least 61 now. do we have any one that old posting on here ? I'm old but was just a kid about 10 in 1968. I do remember the Hamm's commercials with the bear. Hamm's the beer refreshing. Hamm's the beer refreshing. Hammmm's. Actually they would be 58 if I'm not mistaken. 18 year old drinking age? right?
