  1. Hell, I thought it was Cowley that said Ozzie had quit by the last couple games.
  2. I love Van Gundy calling Rondo a flopper. I know nothing about basketball to know if that's true, but it's funny.
  3. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 11, 2012 -> 01:41 PM) David Stern must hate Blake Griffin. Blake Griffen wasn't Blake Griffen at that time.
  4. QUOTE (MurcieOne @ Jan 11, 2012 -> 01:27 PM) At least the Bulls can say they never saw him coach a game before hiring him. What's the Clippers' excuse? I remember a reporter from LA on with B&B a while back saying there are those who believe Reinsdorf wanted VDN out but didn't want to eat the contract. Stern then negotiated with the Clippers to get him out there where no one was looking so that Rose could develop with a real coach. The whole thing seemed odd and the story was never really fleshed out, but that's what he said.
  5. Do refs ever call holding against the Broncos? Holy s***.
  6. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Jan 6, 2012 -> 10:53 AM) I agree to an extent. I live in an area where a lot of girls get knocked up young. A lot of times it seems like they're praised for it. And not to sound sexist, but I'm about to, it usually ends with the mom staying at home for years and years while the dad takes up the vast majority of responsibility. So child rearing takes no responsibility?
  7. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jan 6, 2012 -> 06:01 AM) I mean, it's not that much different then when you take like a monstyer s*** after eating taco bell or white castles or if you takes laxatives. you know thiose s***s that hurt? like a lot. like tyhis big log that came out your ass. nobody offers up congrats after your ass is bleeding. Let me know the next time you take a monster dump and I'll send some nice brown congratulations balloons. In any event, you aren't congratulating the accomplishment of having a baby. You are congratulating the life changing event.
  8. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't one of Best Buy's biggest expenses theft? I know plenty of employees when I was in high school stealing stuff.
  9. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jan 3, 2012 -> 10:15 AM) the Bears dont pay people to go away very often. I doubt they do it for Angelo and Lovie Yeah. Frankly I don't think Lovie is a problem so I don't care. Actually it wouldn't surprise me that the bears target the Polians who probably like Lovie.
  10. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jan 3, 2012 -> 10:13 AM) I think you would have heard them both announced as gone if Lovie was going to bite it. Nothing has been announced. Sounds like this is just breaking from Mully's sources.
  11. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jan 3, 2012 -> 10:12 AM) Wow!!! Did not see that coming. Wonder if Lovie stays. Doubtful. No GM is coming without bringing his own people.
  12. Carcillo's gonna be suspended for a few games.
  13. QUOTE (PlaySumFnJurny @ Dec 29, 2011 -> 03:24 PM) Will Tell-- If you bought the tickets and have the order # or receipt, maybe you can call Ticketmaster or the box office and report the tickets as lost or stolen, so they can issue you replacements. that would be amazing. Somehow I doubt they do that since fraud seems too easy.
  14. QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Dec 29, 2011 -> 04:21 PM) I think the cucumber is the point for Hendrick's, but I agree with you that it is not necessarily the goto gin for a G&T. Try it in a martini with a premium dry vermouth and a dash of orange bitters though and you will probably really enjoy it. I went on the cheap the last time I was needing to restock the Hendrick's and went with Martin Millier. Decent stuff but not nearly as complex and well balanced as Hendrick's. My Christmas booze haul this year has me thrilled, having scored bottles of: Appleton 21 (!!!) Mount Gay Extra Old Barbancourt 15 Ardbeg 10 Islay Scotch yumm!! No. f***ing. Way. REVIEW!!!!! (I really just enjoy reading a Flax review)
  15. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 29, 2011 -> 09:09 AM) Apparently Ryan Sweeney learned of the trade on his voicemail. Is that a problem? These days it seems lucky if they get a text before finding out from some fan or on twitter.
  16. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Dec 28, 2011 -> 07:08 PM) Decided not to buy my brother liquor since apparently he now has over 200 bottles of various rums, whiskeys, tequilas, etc. As much as he would have appreciated another one, I went with a gift with some practical applications for him. I was at a bar a few nights ago and me and two friends split a few pitchers of Three Floyds Gumball Head, great stuff, hadn't had it in a about a year. Never had it. I remember when it used to just be sitting at Binnys and I passed it by for something else. Now it's a miracle that a store even gets a delivery from that brewery. Color me jealous.
  17. Yikes...page 3 Anyway, I brought back a haul from Chicago. Tons of Founders, only 1 3 Floyds but that's cool. Some Spotted Cow. Most importantly...CORUBA!!!! I have already put the bottle to work on a hurricane and sidewinder. Truly the most versatile dark rum and the cheapest. I bought 1 bottle, and got another as a gift. We will see how long it lasts. Meanwhile my wife demanded an elliptical which I bought. I guess that's a smarter purchase than beer but whatever.
  18. QUOTE (buehrle-gt-wood @ Dec 22, 2011 -> 04:39 PM) Hi, I can't seem to get on my old account. Newb
  19. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Dec 20, 2011 -> 09:46 AM) What happened to the tainted beef line? Did he already abandon it because it was so stupid? That wasn't his line. That was one someone else used.
  20. The old "private medical issue" excuse. foxsports Is TMZ really all that reliable with these sources? In any event, what is so private that he can't tell the team doctors so they can check the ingredients?
  21. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 18, 2011 -> 09:13 PM) One of my medically inclined friends wrote this. I can't imagine how close he was to being paralyzed. That was tough to watch.
  22. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Dec 13, 2011 -> 10:29 AM) The only thing is that he could have waived it a while ago. Just the fact that he did the same morning it kind of interesting, IMO. Once a right is waived it can't exactly be taken back so you might as well wait until the last minute.
  23. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Dec 13, 2011 -> 09:04 AM) Sandusky was to face some accusers at his preliminary hearing this morning, but at the last second he waived his right too. Sounds like he is still trying to control the victims, I'm sure it took a lot of preparation to get ready to testify today. There really isn't any need for a preliminary hearing where a grand jury already heard the case. It probably protects the victims more than anything else. I don't think there is much to read into this.
