All though to get this back on track, the thread is about realistic trade candidates, and there is zero chance that Trout is a trade candidate at this time.
I am 100% down with this move and have been since he was freed up from SF. He is a great fit in the clubhouse and would be able to step in and at least play great defense while someone else was out.
Lets be honest. The Sox and Angels have proved more than anyone else in recent years that you need more than studs and duds in your line up to win. Balance and depth matter.
They closed the drafted player/PTBNL angle a couple of years ago. They can't even be a PTBNL in a deal that happens before the World Series. Don't know if they have a similar thing here with the 60 man roster, but it would kind of defeat the purpose here, so I would doubt MLB would allow it.
And for the record, I am about 98% sure that Kopech can't be traded. YOu have to be on the 60 man roster to be traded this year, and Kopech opted out, so I don't see how he can be added to that roster.
TWC said this morning that the changes in the models are trending more westerly, which puts Houston more and more into the bullseye. Currently the focal point centers around the TX/LA line.
And the funny part is that if Hahn actually stroked out and agreed to a deal like this, these same dopes would spent the next five decades complaining about this trade.
It isn't a bad plan to try to turn this isn't 4 days off for Yoan if Nick is back. Even if nothing is super wrong with YM, maybe the days of fix him mentally.
This is really overblown. They just did this for Herrera and we are talking about a month and his salary would be paid for anyway. It isn't like we are talking about years here. If the Sox really believe that EE is done, and Vaughn is the guy, they will make the move.
It should have been and it should be on quick and massive testing turn around. But the federal government doesn't want to invest the funds to make this happen. Again the rest of the world figured this out, but we can't.
Yeah, I know during Ike and Rita, they reversed I45 and it still turned into a parking lot, frontage included. Especially if you are anywhere near Bolivar, Galveston, or any of the low lying towns east of Houston, GTFO.
There seems to be two factors, #1, people who are cooped up and looking for any NEW TV. Even the exhibition games were up WAY over a normal broadcast. #2, the team is really good and exciting for the first time since 2012 at least. I bet ratings are up 40 to 50% over last year once the numbers start coming in.
