The Sox aren't going to be able to offer him more than 100 games a season tops, because Grandal will be here that entire deal. The Sox aren't about to start their back up catcher at DH 80-100 times a year.

Maybe if they axe EE after this season, but I don't see the incentive for McCann to sign a similar deal here when he could be #1 somewhere else and NOT hurt his future career earnings.
