  1. Bingo. And if you break it down by year, it could save the Sox a ton of money too if he hits like the Sox think he is going to hit.
  2. I promise you the Sox approached him with a deal like this. If he didn't sign it, it is because he doesn't want to give up that potential money.
  3. This is interesting seeing as they already sent him down. It almost has to be a structure for an extension that takes place after he gets called up which would make this essentially a 9 year deal. If not, Arenado as an example was $26m for his final arb year, which was turned into $35 m per year by his new deal. Even if you take year 6 and add 35m a year for years 7 and 8 to go 26/35/35, that adds up to 96m for those 3 years alone. Tim Anderson got $850K, $1MM, $1.4MM, $4MM, $7.25MM, and $9.5MM in his deal, so maybe it looks something like this for an 8 year deal... 19- $1m 20-$1.5m 21-$2m 22-$5m 23-$10m 24-$20m 25-$30m* 26-$30m* The last two years as options, the 1st six guaranteed as $6/39, total possible 8/99. If it doesn't include 19, maybe there is a bonus in it?
  4. I AM MISERABLE AND I COMMAND EVERYONE ELSE TO JOIN ME AND BE MISERABLE TOO, OR ELSE!!!
  5. Santana is making good progress.
  6. Damn. This puts him into missing time next year too.
  7. Like I said, 6 year olds don't make up this stuff. Adults might, and there is always the chance of coaching, but 15 minutes of talking to a 6 year old would tell you by their answers if they were lying. They would only be able to regurgitate the story they were told, and not to provide anything outside of that. The story would change, and not make sense at point, especially as they got off of their talking points. Again, the rate of this stuff happening in real life is minuscule. The true reports FAR outpace the false ones. If there is ever an assumption to be made, it is to believe the kid and not to assume they are lying, just like in rape allegations. The idea of there being some epidemic of false allegations going on is bullshit put out to protect predators. I don't know what happened exactly in this case, but the one thing I do know is that neither of my two daughters would have ever been around this man.
  8. Your assumptions and victim blaming of a six year old frankly disgust me, and I am not going to even entertain discussing this with you further. People like you are the reason that victims of molestation and sexual assault hide in the shadows.
  9. This is where I don't believe Heimlich. 6 year olds don't make up this kind of stuff, and they definitely don't make it up in enough detail to be able to get to the point where you can go to trial. I don't have any data in front of me, but knowing how small that false reports are for this kind of stuff in general, when you add in who the victim was, I have to imagine it is infinitesimal. The denial in this case just doesn't add up to me.
  10. What could be interesting is even if a major league franchise takes an interest in him, I wonder if affiliates would allow him to be on their teams? There are some pretty small towns in the bible belt in the lower levels of the minors.
  11. As long as Santana is healthy, it is him.
  12. Temper tantrum to show the admins who is boss. Typically happens when someone doesn't get their way, or is about to be suspended. Spoiler alert: It doesn't work.
