How do the Sox ever improve?
And people wonder why most of us are ready for something new.

Most consecutive 100-loss seasons in MLB history
It is interesting because Boston actually has the hardest remaining schedule, while Pittsburgh is in the top 5 for easiest.

An ominous future...
Much of it is pretty easy to argue against for sure. They have done a decent job at adding some personality to the park over the years. I do love that there isn't a bad view in the entire place. Having been to games at somewhere around a dozen other parks, there are definitely places I liked less.

An ominous future...
-It is universally thought of as one of the most underwhelming facilities in baseball, typically residing in the bottom three. -There is no aesthetic or beauty to the park. -There is only game day revenue from inside the park, as there is literally zero to do besides a game in the area. -They absolutely did nothing to take advantage of their location within Chicago to emphasize the view or skyline. -The commonly held belief is that the area it is isn't safe, despite the neighborhood around Wrigley having a higher crime rate.

Do we see a problem
with a 3rd standard deviation level of confidence... No. Everyone will almost certainly be signed within a week and a half, otherwise they wouldn't have been picked.

An ominous future...
Which is why the Sox want to leave 35th.

2025 Trade deadline rumors thread
I don't know. I think Sosa's ceiling is as a mid tier 2B, with a realistic finishing point of the type of guy you can start for stretches, but you are probably going to be trying to replace if you are starting him. He's a win for the system to develop, but if someone offers you something for him, you probably take it.

What might have been...
This is the biggest Cub fan post you have ever made. You'd rather be the Cubs with Sammy Sosa and nothing else so you have someone to cheer for (aka a "local hero") vs understanding that the only chance you have at winning is to take pain now and invest in the future. Enjoy your loveable losers.
