“The 78” + "The Railyard" = the future of the Sox and Fire
I don't know why you keep going to this well, but most of the gigantic buildings of downtown Manhattan, a large portion of downtown San Francisco, as well as most of the buildings past Michigan Avenue in Chicago are built on fill. There is enough bedrock below which is accessible enough to build foundations for thousand foot tall buildings on, let alone a ballpark. None of what you posted is a dealbreaker, and is dealt with on sites all over the nation for much more complex buildings.

White Sox acquire OF Tristan Peters from TB for PTBNL/$
A rebuild of one thousand games begins with a trade...

White Sox acquire OF Tristan Peters from TB for PTBNL/$
If it is cash, we didn't.

White Sox acquire OF Tristan Peters from TB for PTBNL/$
Sounds like the perfect time for the "Carlos Rodriguez is already paying dividends!!!" post.

Sox have hired a director of "leadership and culture"
That's the joke.
-
Sox have hired a director of "leadership and culture"
I need like a 4 part episode where it is told from Jerry's View, Kenny's View, Rick's View, and Chris's View.
-
Sox have hired a director of "leadership and culture"
Kind of seems that way, yes.
-
Sox have hired a director of "leadership and culture"
Rick has told a similar story since he left the Sox.
-
Sox have hired a director of "leadership and culture"
Yes, for a promotion to Team President, which Jerry has never had.

Sox have hired a director of "leadership and culture"
Drug tests are still a thing in MLB.

Sox hire Carlos Rodriguez for Assistant GM role
Reading a couple of the posted articles, dude probably was mad he didn't get the promotion, saw his road blocked, and took the off ramp. That's what most people do who feel they have management they don't want to work with. This should be a great opportunity for him, assuming ownership doesn't roadblock him.

Sox hire Carlos Rodriguez for Assistant GM role
I assume you will keep this energy in your own posts.
-
Sox hire Carlos Rodriguez for Assistant GM role
Can we leave the stage of this discussion where anything other than pre-approved Getz praise gets yelled at, and actually get back to the hire?
-
Chicago White Sox's Offseason FA Signings Trades Megathread
I don't think this is a "risk averse" thing, more than a broke thing.
-
Pete Fairbanks?
They definitely have made it clear that they do not want to work with guys who don't' already have work ethic.
-
Chicago White Sox's Offseason FA Signings Trades Megathread
Ok, got it. Usually that was clear, but the extra post definitely didn't make it seem that way.
-
Chicago White Sox's Offseason FA Signings Trades Megathread
Didn't you just say that it was a serious source?
-
Sox hire Carlos Rodriguez for Assistant GM role
It has been already previously posted, as has the end of 2024 interview with The Athletic where it is made clear that Rick Hahn wanted to pursue much more analytics and Jerry stopped it... but you haven't let that one stop your obligation to the #HeGetzUs foundation.
-
Sox hire Carlos Rodriguez for Assistant GM role
You realize there is a Grand Canyon of space between "trashing your bosses" and (if you think this isn't accurate) flat out lying to the press about your situation, right?
-
Sox hire Carlos Rodriguez for Assistant GM role
Ask him, it is his words, not mine.

The TImes of India? Weren't you just s%*# talking Caulfield's sources?

2025-26 NFL Season Thread
I do think to some extent with as easy as Jerry and the McC's had it last time around with a stadium, they thought they could just pull the slot machine arm and a new stadium would fall out again. It might not be that this time around, so things might have to change for them too.
-
Sox hire Carlos Rodriguez for Assistant GM role
Especially since we have Chris Getz on record during the Jerry/Kenny/Rick era saying he largely had the freedom to do as he wanted and hire who he wanted.
-
Sox have hired a director of "leadership and culture"
It isn't often that something is a fucking terrible idea in real time, and then in the long run it still turns out worse than you expected, but here we are. Hopefully the newest hire means Jerry is LESS involved in the day to day, but I feel like he is old man Jaws always lurking to strike and kill Sox fans joy and optimism.

Apparently you too have an eye for developing criminal talent. Case closed.
