  1. I hate to say good to a pitcher on the IL, but also, good.

  3. There is nothing wrong with the right guys learning more positions, but #1 on the list is for them to start before the majors.
  4. Who cares. Get what you can get and move on.
  5. If you don't laugh, you will cry.
  6. That's nice of them to help the field crew. Many might need new careers soon.
  7. It is not like we have a real DH. Run someone there too. Rotate them through a day a week and then you still have an offday if you play them 5 of 6 days.
  8. And if you have already decided these guys can't play a defensive position why in the world would you let them play it for years in the minors only to make them learn a new position in the majors, while also learning how to be a major leaguer? Let them at least be playing something familiar in the majors. It's not like they are being blocked by some superstar at the major league level that should block them defensively.
  9. For all of the talk about how new and great everything is, we still do nothing to put the kids in a position to succeed, just like we did during the last regime. Both Vargas and Montgomery at the peak values would be playing their toughest possible defensive positions, but we have already punted on that. Weird how that hasn't changed, right?
  10. A lot of nice promotions in there, but sad to see Tatum go. There was some mild excitement around his pick.
  11. 35 times in two years vs "not at all". Keep trying bud.
  12. Sure, but we are probably talking what, 3-4 years?
  13. I can't help but notice he's 31 and just now talking about making a commitment to learning something new and changing. Seems a bit ironic with the recent history.
  14. Those are the kinds of wins that keep a team like Cleveland and Tampa hanging around most years. They turn a nobody into a usable piece and then sell high.
  15. I am big fan of, run him out there until someone forces him off of it.
  16. Plus we will be subtracting a 3-5 pieces of this team and replacing them with god knows what.

  18. The Trade Winds forum is OPEN FOR BUSINESS.
  19. This kid was one of those draft kids that had some real upside possible, hopefully he is figuring it out.
  20. They are both mid rotation ceilings IMO. Very similar to Dunning indeed. None of something that is great, but they are decent and seem to suck up innings in general.
  21. And Lance Lynn ended up as one of the problems here.
  22. And people wonder why most of us are ready for something new.
  23. It is interesting because Boston actually has the hardest remaining schedule, while Pittsburgh is in the top 5 for easiest.
