Nothing that is happening in baseball is so expensive that literally any team couldn't be doing it, if they actually wanted to do so. No one is putting 10s of billions of dollars into regenerative AI models here, it is 6 to 7 figures we are talking about. More money gets wasted on shitty utility players and bad relievers.

Please. These guys aren't solving climate change or building AI models. They are funding baseball teams. I am not interested in excuses for Jerry.

Poor Jerry can't keep up with all of the other Billionaire's isn't much of a selling point for me. I guess it is good that the teams who are willing to be out ahead of everyone else face more obstacles for the fan of a team that doesn't give a crap.

Catching up a bit: The Diplomat is my favorite show for quite a while. For West Wing fans, getting Allison Janey and Brad Whitford back together is just spectacular chemistry and steals the show Finally watched Ozark, and it was a great show, with a pretty disappointing ending. Not Soprano's bad, but stains an otherwise top notch show. The P Diddy Biopic on Netflix was worth a watch for no other reason than the connects to 2Pacs and Biggies murders.

Honestly, the Sox aren't spending any real amount until both the team is a lot better and the 2027 labor problems are settled and behind us. I am not sure why people are getting their hopes up for no good reason, but knowing Jerry's 45 year history and the current state of this franchise, it doesn't even make sense.

This screams an excuse for the Rickets and Reinsdorf's of the world to keep underspending where ever they can, while the Dodgers of the world do what they do, and just hide it better. It kind of reminds me of "recommended slots" in the draft where about 20 teams were blowing those away, and youknowwho was sticking to it.

The Bears have gone miles above how far they should have reasonably progressed this year. What this really tells us is exactly how bad the coaching was before Ben Johnson got here, that there is THIS much extra winning in the roster vs last year with minimal changes.
