  1. The problem is self-admittedly, they have none at the higher levels.
  2. And this is why Jerry won’t take your calls. No one is adding to a 121 loss team just because they played a few close games.
  3. No Express though, that's extra. Just Pony.
  4. We will get them in a decade or two.
  5. Dylan Cease alone won that trade for the White Sox, no matter how badly Sox player development screwed up Eloy.
  6. He must have gotten added to the MLB GM signal chat
  7. Yeah, that one didn't make any damn sense from the start.
  8. It used to be you had to go through your league first, and then the other league first in terms of waiver claims. Did that change? Like if you were an NL player, you'd go through worst to first in the NL, and then the same in the AL.
  9. If the math is mathing, this dude is probably the biggest owner of the White Sox right now. He sure has a bank account that is somewhere around 10X of Jerry for sure.
  10. that won't be around past this year, all so we don't have to play anyone under 30. Do we need 600 PAs to figure that out? Again, why am I supposed to be so excited about a dev staff that we are absolutely afraid to use? Hell there was a million other DFAs of guys with control past next season who were out there besides the ones that we couldn't apparently do anything with here. Why are we so damned scared of acting like we are trying to build a team for 2030 and not 2025? That's what you should be doing when you lose 121 games.
  11. So a potential fifth OF that won't be around past this year, all so we don't have to play anyone under 30. Do we need 600 PAs to figure that out? Again, why am I supposed to be so excited about a dev staff that we are absolutely afraid to use? 12. Neither is the rest of the roster, but here we are.
  13. He's an imbecile if he thinks a marginal improvement in 2025 is more important than discovering talent for 2030. That's the entire point here.
  14. Apparently MLB wants to make sure everyone gets the Comcast experience, aka blacked out. Maybe a mercy killing of the signal.
  15. Not to mention that it IS the 121 loss season that dictates what this roster should look like. If we were an 80 win team, looking to get to 85, sure plug around the margins and bench every young kid. Knock yourself out. But we aren't. We are a historically bad team, with absolutely nothing to gain long term by playing any of these guys. Even if it is a 1% chance that Colas and company vs the Dunder Mifflin softball team guys's 0%, you go with the 1%. With as many times as I have heard about how we have hired all of these great dev guys, hitting coaches and coordinators and everyone else, why the f*** are we absolutely afraid to give them a chance with any of this younger players in our system?
  16. Other than Robert, our OF is godawful, and I refuse to pretend otherwise. Even if you want to make a case for a marginal improvement over a young guy, these are deals on 30something players who will be long gone by the time this team is .500 again, let alone when they are good. Literal zero chance of them helping the Sox to winning baseball. Why we should be excited to waste ABs on guys who will be on 16 inch fields somewhere by the time the Sox are good again is beyond me, and I am definitely not about to get excited about it.
  17. Look, the guys who replaced them aren't anymore "major league calibur" than the guys they replaced. They are 4A players at best.
