Why wouldn't it be said? If it was truly fake, at the very least the agent wouldn't want it out there so as there being any chance of bidders moving on to other targets. Also if you really think about it, assuming that the reports of MM wanting to be a Yankee were true, why would he leak a report about him being a Yankee? If anything the leak would be about MM with another team so as to drive up the Yankees bid. He gains nothing by tipping his hand to NYY. And no one of consequence has come out and said it isn't true.

Poorly thought out would be continuing to do something that you find misery in and get nothing out of, and then getting hurt feelings when someone doesn't agree with it.

Yeah. #1 The Sox didn't think enough of Adams to call him up multiple different times with the worst team in franchise history and plenty of starts needing to be filed. #2 The Sox didn't think enough of him to protect him on the 40 man roster. #3 No other team in baseball thought enough of him to select him in the Rule 5 draft.

Let's face it. If people didn't know it when we got him, they should now know that Moncada has franchise anchor like tools, but he is extremely raw. I have used the Javy Baez comp before, and it really works here. I know there were high expectations of him, but after seeing where he was at, I get it now. Moncada might take a couple of seasons to figure it out. No one wants to hear that, but all you have to do is watch the guy to see the holes, while also seeing the talent to potentially fill them.
