  1. It isn't about volatility and it isn't about making forward statements. It is the fact that Musk violated pretty much every single safe harbor rule surrounding forward-looking statements as it pertains to Tesla. The SEC press release contains all of the rule citations at the PDF for the filing. https://www.sec.gov/news/press-release/2018-219
  2. And they managed to put together the fastest case I have EVER seen. Typically the lead time in cases like this is years, not weeks.
  3. And Musk even engaged in plea talks, which means he knows it.
  4. Remember when the Bulls had a chance at being a playoff team? That was great.
  5. You should probably go back and look at Lopez's run lately and edit this post.
  6. Could have been no runs that inning if Engels throw home doesn't hit the mound.
  7. When the announcement was made, they said they hoped to have Micker with a team by May 1. Maybe that is why he is not mentioned?
  8. Rey has really gotten it together in the last month to six weeks. A real nice finish to the season for him.
  9. This is going to be a really fun team to watch next year. It will also be nice to see the biggest wave of talent getting that much closer to Chicago.
  10. https://www.mlb.com/whitesox/fans/soxfest I haven't gone since 2006. For those that do still go, how does paying for the fest work? Are you billed when you book? Are you billed when you go? Is the hotel and passes billed separately.

  12. Hopefully it is remorse over saying he would vote yes, and looking for some cover to vote no, but he is a politician so all bets are off involving morals or ethics.
  13. One scenario I could see speeding things up is if the Sox can sign Machado. My underlying assumptions for how we act this winter are based on the White Sox NOT signing him. If we did get him, I could see us investing in more pitching for sure. But I think the odds of him signing aren't great, and we do nothing of note over the winter.
  14. These are the numbers from 2018. I am sure they will go up a bit in 2019, but it gives you an idea of the differences JUST in round one. The difference between 3/4 is over half a million dollars. It is over a million from 3/5, and almost 1.5 million from 3/6. 3. Phillies: $6,947,500 4. White Sox: $6,411,400 5. Reds: $5,946,400 6. Mets: $5,525,200
  15. This is literally reasons 1-5 for a guy like Manny Machado. If he wanted to be comfortable, he would have resigned in Baltimore years ago. If he wanted to be in a particular market, he would have demanded a trade years ago. Instead he moved through his six years of service without doing either, so he could get to free agency ASAP.
  16. Smart guy. He gets to have his cake knowing his party won't vote for it, and then eat it to by voting yes anyway.
  17. Everything being said, I do see this as the most likely scenario.
