It just amazes me how partisan we have become. People see everything through their eyes of their party versus right and wrong.

And one where witnesses weren't allowed, and the defendent refused to answer any tough questions.

My interpretations were that he was saying that they guy we want might not be there when we are ready to compete, and if the guy you really want is there now, they have the flexibility to sign them now. Maybe if you read the comment in isolation, but if you read all of them and string them together, he is clearly saying they really like one of the top level players on the market, and they want to sign them, but can't predict if it will work out or not.

Reading the Rick Hahn lawyer-speak, this is exactly how I read it. Using the checked boxes example, he is the one that checks all of the boxes that match up with Hahn's points.

It isn't going to be next year, and it isn't probably going to be the year after that. This a rebuild, not a resurrection. Next year will be better. Maybe we even push .500. The bulk of the talent isn't even in the upper minors yet. Keep that in perspective.

I am still not willing to put him into the top tier based on this one year until he repeats this at least once.

It reminds me of Trump in the way that he seems to think that nothing he does has consequences, nor does he ever have a bad idea. I get the feeling that he hasn't surrounded himself with people who are able to tell him no. He seems genuinely surprised by all this.

Not for what he did. Being intimately familiar with the SEC and how they operate this might be one of the easiest prosecutions they ever have. On top of that this is a standard punishment for someone who engages in these types of crimes.

Told you guys this was happening the day the tweet came out.

This isn't being a die hard fan. This is throwing an all out temper tantrum on an regular basis over a game. It is not being able to control your emotions and understand what is important and what isn't, as well as what the world owes you, and what is does not.

I don't see the correlation between players sighing big deals with bad teams and having won the World Series already. Examples?

This is always my reaction to the more ridiculous conspiracy theory claims. If the Democrats were so powerful as to be able to create credible allegations from scratch, how come they have never used that power before? I mean if you can take down a Supreme Court nomination, why not take down Trump? Or Ryan? Or anyone else of value? It is the same reason I believe the 9/11 or Qanon conspiracy stuff is trash. Sure, the same government who can't build a basic website, or provide basic health care to veterans, is going to be able to put together the most complex and detailed conspiracies in history together, and not have them fall apart through people talking... Sure. Ok.
