  1. Hopefully the same as what you are getting paid, because I never called it "legitimately one of the best individual pitches you'll ever see".
  2. So switch alliances is BETTER than not going to games? That's just wild.
  3. Look, some fans, sure they will be upset all of the time. But the idea that this is some kind of unjustified because we just haven't given this a fair chance is absurd. It's been nearly 50 years of this ownership group and it's style of operation. We have moved the pieces around before, and been told all of these same blue sky claims of just wait and see. We heard it with Kenny, and we heard it with Rick, who were both way more experience and successful in the jobs they had previously done. Kenny at least won something. Since then? Yeah.
  4. I mean all three guys have some pretty important red flags and none of them are THAT highly ranked. Worst case isn't even the only case that ends up bad for the Sox. -There is a very realistic chance Zavala never makes the majors. He had major struggles in his stops at A+. His K rates and contact rates are scary. -Iriarte has never shown he can consistently be a guy who gets under a walk every other inning, and that is with MUCH higher chase rates seen in the minors. It's not hard to see him generating a lot of walks, followed by a lot of hard contact by guys zone hitting for when they get 3-1 and know a fastball is coming so he doesn't give up yet another walk. -Even if Thorpe has a ridiculous MLB change up, he still has to get to the counts to throw it. His margin for error is going to be much less than guys who have three major league pitches, instead of one. Everything depends on his change being perfect, so MLB hitters can't sit on something else other then his change. His control with his other pitchers also has to be picture perfect, because if it isn't he is getting pounded with the rest of his stuff. All three guys need to take pretty major steps to fix some pretty sizable flaws in their games. Sure they have ceiling with some major plus tools, but they don't get to use those tools if they can't fix their flaws.
  5. After literally the worst season in the 125 year history of MLB the only "willful misrepresentation" going on here is the gaslighting of fed up fans masquerading as friendly advice .
  6. Well the Bulls are making fans everywhere glad they blacked out
  7. This entire post is a long winded justification to you acting like you are better than everyone else and get to gatekeep every one else who doesn't. With all due respect, I don't know why you think this is your job, but lecturing people after the worst season in the history of baseball is the ultimate in entitlement.
  8. And the Bulls still can't move anyone. What a joke.
  9. Wow. Whatever you get paid, it is too much.
  10. Well there goes that narrative.
  11. I think this sums up most of your responses lately pretty well. Continue your death spiral.
  12. Jerry won’t pay for pretty much anything to improve returns, minor league depth is worse than ever, the teams in front of us by 40-50 games have similarly ranked farms systems, but things are magically going to be fixed. Death spiral is a perfect way to describe this franchise right as they pat themselves on the back telling us how great of a job by refusing to do even a decent part of what it takes to win today in MLB.
  13. The more things change the more they Jerry the same.
  14. Such a development success story.
  15. This is probably about fair. I think they have talent, but they lack the superstar hitters in this system. They completely lack offense as it is, and while the pitching could be the best in baseball (with cost factored in) if people hit at a high rate, they still lack the middle of the line up guys.
  16. Good news is that you never have to worry about it because I won't tell him what he wants to hear for the job.
  17. Another middle IF and CF make a lot of sense here as the ask. Aiden Miller would obviously be the ideal ask, but who knows if they can pry him loose. Crawford has to be almost a certainty as an ask. From there, it is what your scouts think of some of the guys down the line as to what you settle for.
  18. Yeah in these legal hypotheticals, you can also go completely to the opposite side and say since she wasn't found guilty of libel/slander, she obvious didn't lie because she was never found guilty of it. That's not accurate either though. Not being able to prove something happened with a confidence level that is high enough to work for what MLB was looking for, doesn't mean it didn't happen, they are innocent, exonerated, or anything else. It just means they didn't mean MLB's threshold for assigning a penalty. That's it. Especially since it seems like the most likely scenario is that they didn't get cooperation out a witness who had a disincentive to make sure that this guy never worked again.
  19. It's hard to find clear data, but the 2022 estimate was $60 million from their local tv deal. I would be surprised if we sit at 10% of that right now.
  20. The stuff has never been in question. He has to find health.
  21. Divided by 30 teams, that covers Tauchman and Bryse Wilson for the White Sox.
