I do agree with the idea that the best Dodgers trade includes guys who are already on the active roster. Pages/Miller/Stone make a lot of sense in the structure, but I really would like to see DePaula be a part of it as well
50 games under .500 for a full season is 56-106. The Sox would need to play .500 baseball at 29-29 to win 56 games this year, or win 2 more games in a 58 game stretch than they did in 104 games so far this year.
Why highlight 56-106? This is the current record for the most losses in a single season in Sox history.
Yeah it is going to be much harder to be "in it" at the deadline, not add, and miss the playoffs and explain that to your fanbase, versus adding and missing out. At least you tried kind of stuff goes further.
I know we are in the stage of the deadline where it is all about who teams WON'T deal, but eventually someone is going to look at the last half of the season, his current playoff chances, and blink.
