  1. They only get to add two roster spots. Typically this is a 3rd catcher and another pitcher.
  2. It IS a silly move to have Jacob Amaya on the active roster over Ramos, no matter what the machinations were to do it.
  3. I get the feeling this happens with a pop up blocker.
  4. Without digging to find Amaya's advanced stats in MiLB, I do note that in his decent 2023, he had 18 GiDPs and 14 more in 2022. Is he a swing plane issue?
  5. So I noticed this on my phone and desktop, you have to hide the ad to get to it. Click the X here. @Chisoxfn, not sure if there is a better solution to ad placement you can do or not, but this is a thing. Anytime you select a post for something, the pop up window comes up UNDER this ad, and the ad has to be Xd out to get to it.
  6. I think you, much like the Sox, dropped the ball by not mentioning MLBs worse defense as well.
  7. Nah, we have Jacob Amaya for that.
  8. And i have said this a million times, and will say it once more, but I don't blame Getz for getting us to a 61 win team last year. I won't hold guys like Benny, Yoan, Eloy, etc over him. I will judge him for what he has done since he got here a year ago, which is based on his moves that have managed to bleed 20 wins out of a 60 win team. Despite having some insanely high end talent, he hasn't managed to add nearly enough young talent to the system. We still trail not only the AL Central in real time, but almost all of the AL Central in terms of farm system. It's hard to make up ground when your future view is also behind everyone else. His biggest trade this year of Fedde which resulted in a former top prospect coming to the Sox was made based on the recommendation not of a scout, but an assistant hitting coach who was also fired weeks later. When you see that from the outside, how do you feel like we are going in the right direction? Outside of Brian Bannister, literally all I have seen is that apparently this is everyone else's fault, except the guy who was in charge of the minor league system which hasn't been able to produce one every day starter this year, in a year with literally no standards as to who gets put on to the active roster.
  9. I would settle for several major leaguers at this point.
  10. There's that Q take down.
  11. This isn't like the usual nervousness of a 16 year old driving a car this first time. This that same kid crossing 3 lanes and ramming into a tree at 60 mph. Do you really need to see more before you go maybe he's not ready for this yet? We can give him credit for putting his seatbelt on first, but everything else is just scary.
  12. Ah, that makes more sense, thought it is wild that he managed to get Taylor and Gonzalez in the same year.
  13. Uh oh. Now you've done it.
  14. Check, plus a couple of HR props, one of which is in so far. Sox are going to put my kids through college.
  15. This is freaking wild. We had Gonzalez at #3?
