  1. It's been shocking how BAD the Sox defense has been this year. Like most teams could recall some terrible hitting, but slick middle IF guys, or an OF who can do nothing but run down baseballs, but every guy we bring in seems to have worse baseball IQ than the previous guy and just suck defensively, plus can't hit.
  2. Which will be something like a 10 to 15 game improvement over this year
  3. I will also note that while it mostly lacking power, he is hitting for a perfectly respectable average. .286/.324/.314/.639 since his recall. That includes only one XBH, but it is better than most of this line up.
  4. If he can catch a baseball, he is an upgrade over Sheets.
  5. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
  6. Any chance you can also put in for an upgrade of Jerry and/or the White Sox? TIA
  7. A plus fielder and no hit is way better than the no hit, no field guys we have been running out to RF forever.
  8. Ah yes, the good ol Gavin Sheets experiment.
  9. There is a new guy up top. https://www.mlb.com/prospects/whitesox/
  10. Absolutely! We love you Jas!
  11. Starting is all about being conditioned to go a lot of pitches. If they aren't, that's where problems start.
  12. For the types of reasons previously outlined, such as minor league conditioning programs.
  13. It's been a while since I got to do this... but GAGED!
  14. Looks like the upgrade has finished. Welcome to the other side.
  15. Sadly, they would still be 20 games out of first.
  16. For me? High school football. We are now officially in Week 1.
  17. Phil Donanhue 88
  18. No matter who you are, the first thing you should learn as an adult is the Rule of 72. It works for interest rates and for rates of return, and is absolutely vital for your life's savings.
  19. And best of all we will have 9 players picked in front of us, so no matter who breaks out from that group, we will have a decade to rue the day this anti-tanking rule was put into place, because no matter who it is, he will always be the guy the Sox should have picked.
  20. I will say this much, there was a definite camp of people pissed off when we let James McCann walk away, but holy crap did we play that to perfection. We got him to .276/.335/.474/.808 114 OPS+ His career averages .241/.293/.377/.670 82 OPS+ Since he left .222/.278/.338/.616/ 73 OPS+ The only two times he had an OPS+ over average in his 11 year career? With the Sox. Same with Jose Abreu's and Lucas Giolito's career move after the Sox. That Rick Hahn is a genius.
  21. And you hope Grant Taylor finds health.
