Steve Wilson back, Tim Hill DFAd
Seeing some of the other owners around baseball, I definitely don't believe that to be true.

Who's to say that Thorpe isn't a first ballot hall of fame pitcher? Yeah, I am going to say that is true. If I am wrong, come back to me in twenty years, and I will own it, but yes I feel really good in saying that Thorpe isn't Verlander. I also feel pretty good in saying that neither Quero, nor Lee, is IRod. I feel pretty sure that the Salas kid from the Padres as the top catching prospect out there is that guy either, even if somehow we were to get him from the Padres. Of course "a lot can change" but if the owner doesn't change, it fundamentally won't. The Sox will not be a top of the market spending team as long as Jerry Reinsdorf is alive. He hasn't been that guy in 30+ years. We won't be going after the Pete Alonzos and Juan Sotos of the world this winter. I know what you are trying to say here, but realistically, what are the odds of all of those types of things happening with the Sox history factored in? 1000:1?

Yeah, the went out and paid top market for Ivan Rodriguez at the bottom of that mess. Then they went out and paid Magglio Ordonez a contract as big as any the Sox have ever given a player, in 2005 The some dude named Justin Verlander showed up. Does anyone see one of those three things happening in our rebuild, let alone all three?

Actually you have been the one trying to contend that EVERYONE knew what was going to happen this season, and when you got challenged on it, you melted. Again. Back to the original point 68 /= 40

I always can tell when you run out of actual arguments because it instantly turns to victimhood, personal attacks, and dragging other people into it. Come back to me when you have an actual fact or real argument.

Oops, there go the goalposts again.

Uh huh, go on.

68 wins is not a great team. 40 wins is the worst team in the history of MLB. I assume you know the difference there. I know you want to handwave this away and keep making false equivalencies in an effort to do so, but this is not "bad". This is historic.

The Sox would need to finish out the season at 51-42 to make 68 wins. They are currently on a 39.9 win pace with a .246 winning percentage. So the idea that everyone knew this would happen is pretty false.

Did you predict a 40 win season? If not, I don't think the "we all knew" applies. We knew it would be bad, but not historically bad. There is a difference.

Cool. Still not ready to bench him for any of the other clown show. We should be collecting players like Julks like Pokemon cards, and not players like Tommy Pham.

Story on Sox trade possibilities...
Sure, but more spooked when he sees Ohtani going on.

I can't see a scenario where they haven't done exactly that.

Sox City Connect/Southside jerseys ranked #5
The Sox jerseys are so far over and above every other look, I can't even take serious someone who places them 5th.

Does Katz Keep His Pass?
Looking at the pen as a whole, I am not even sure that it isn't doing within a decent level of expected outcomes #1, things really fell apart when Wilson got hurt, as he was kind of the anchor being middle and late innings. His injury forced up some guys, and it hasn't gone well. #2, is anyone surprised MIchael Kopech is still a mental case? #3, Jordan Leasure has struggled a bit when he has gotten into bigger spots, as a rookie, is it that big of a surprise? #4 John Brebbia has had a really hard regression, but he did go from one of the best pitchers parks in MLB to one of the worst. #5 Tanner Banks is still Tanner Banks #6 Justin Anderon is still Justin Anderson #7 Prelander Berroa clearly wasn't ready #8 Dominc Leone wasn't exactly great last year either, and there is a decent chance that his injury could have been a part of it. #9 Sammy Peralta is still Sammy Peralta #10 Jared Shuster has actually been better this year #11Michael Soroka failed as a starter last year, and failed again this year. he has actually brought down his H/9 and HR/9 numbers, but walks and strikeouts have regressed. Not a huge surprise he is bad as he was before.

Fire Pedro Grifol
This isn't a bad point. Those who cuck Ozzie probably don't want him to Tony LaRussa his career by coming back to look like a moron with this bunch. Leave the fantasy in tact. Let me walk away all dreamy and not as a part of this dumpster fire.
