  1. Literally no one has called Ramos "a sure-fire starter".
  2. That part would be super cool. I go to an annual convention in DC and they always do this in a Smithsonian.
  3. Look if they can really get #1 and #3 done for Williams and Harrison, while only giving up #9, Fields, and a lower pick or two, you HAVE to do it. If you are drafting a top QB you have to give him tools and protection. Giving him a generational wideout is huge. I would really not be surprised if Harrison is the obvious best pick from this draft 10 years down the road, and not any of the QBs. Yeah, we also need O linemen, but we have the rest of this draft, as well as a fuckton of cap space, which can be used in free agency and after teams start cutting people. If you can't pull off the deal for Harrison, it will be interesting to see what happens to the O linemen to see if they run off the board before #9, or if the Bears can pull one of them, or if they look at the other WRs as this is a big time class for wideouts.
  4. Is Paddy a problem? I mean, I get the impression they don't allow him to spend enough to sign these top Dominican guys. How many superstars have we heard that we were the 2nd highest bid for them? And if we were forcing him to hold funds open for the Cubans, it explains why he couldn't bid up.
  5. Not a single person has mentioned this when Soxfest has been talked about, but sure.
  6. Look if you think Jerry, who made his millions doing exactly this business, didn't ask this stuff in his first three questions, I think you are overestimating it. He might not care about people like you and I, but damned well cares about his fortune.
  7. I went for a lot of years up until 2006 at the Regency, which was a spectacular venue. With as crazy as it was post championship, we quit going. Throw in the venue change, and it was a huge downgrade in quality too.
  8. I get it, but it is a waste of time for people to pretend they want to meet Ron Kittle again. Just be honest. They are bitter and angry and want someone to yell at. No one cares about the kids baserunning session.
  9. I don't see nearly the negativity from the outside sources. I am curious to see this kid play a full season of ball so that we can start to sort through whether this is a faction bitter over losing on draft day, or if he really is a pre-made bust.
  10. Let's be honest here, the whole reason the fan base is upset about no Soxfest is they want the opportunity to yell at someone. The rest of it is a far 2nd place.
  11. As soon as I saw this in all caps, my first thought was "please no, don't be that stupid"
  12. Honestly? I would be SHOCKED if those rights were a part of the team rights. Seems like something a real estate mogul would want to keep in the family.
  13. If he has a 70 arm, but is talked about as a 1B, that must mean he either can't move, can't catch, or both.
  14. These things are all known. Again, if negotiations have gotten this far, do we really think that the City and/or JR (who literally made his million in real estate) don't know any of this? If this stuff was a deal breaker, they wouldn't be talking about it, still.
  15. As does the entire metroplex in between. It's basically one city.
  16. That either has to be intentional, or a clueless intern put that together.
  17. Is someone out there buying tickets because we might be building a stadium in years?
  18. With gregs record of being wrong rivaling TLRs, this is very exciting to see.
