AJ PUNCHED TO PITTSBURGH!
QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jul 5, 2006 -> 02:56 PM) Only vote for AJ, seriously. Every single vote for anyone else hurts AJ's chances. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 5, 2006 -> 02:58 PM) God damn, it makes no sense for any Sox fan to vote for Liriano, the guy will not even pitch in the game if he makes it, so the whole "he'll help us win the game" angle is not going to work here. It doesn't help AJ if he's splitty votes from Sox fans. If you don't want to vote for AJ then don't vote at all seriously. QUOTE(Controlled Chaos @ Jul 5, 2006 -> 02:59 PM) Gimmie a break, just vote for AJ Thank you boys

AJ PUNCHED TO PITTSBURGH!
QUOTE(GoRowand33 @ Jul 5, 2006 -> 02:09 PM) on mlb.com in the voting update article they have a brief thing about message boards being successful at campaigning for players (and it said it has helped the whitesox) I can see the Sports Illustrated article now... "The Anatomy of a Stolen Election" plus with plenty of references to the Daley Machine and the Kennedies, plus another quote from Spartaro.

QUOTE(GoSox05 @ Jul 5, 2006 -> 10:27 AM) Im not denying he's a sox fan. Its just seems that towards the end of last year he all the sudden was like the Sox greatest fan. That and he has s*** movie reviews. I think that is more because how many columnists in Chicago can you identify as pure Sox fans? Outside of John Kass, there aren't many. I think the situation was that the token Sox fan got more coverage just because of his lonely status, vs being the greatest Sox fan ever.- AJ PUNCHED TO PITTSBURGH!

Is it just me, or did Brian Anderson look like he made a change in his swing to get it shorter? Especially on his hit last night, it looked like he made an adjustment to get his hands through quicker, and shorten the movement of his arms. Is it just me?- New Jersey Casinos close
QUOTE(StrangeSox @ Jul 5, 2006 -> 11:06 AM) Won't the casinos being closed hurt tax revenues even more? To the tune of about $2 million a day IIRC.- Catch-All Anything Thread

QUOTE(Maverick0984 @ Jul 5, 2006 -> 09:23 AM) well he\'s already been criticized for taking 6. I mean, I love our team and think they should all go, but it does look a little odd that the team with the most representatives is the same as the manager and then taking one more :-/ as much as i want crede to go, i can\'t imagine that doesn\'t enter his thinking. [green] although, it is ozzie, and he\'s never given a s*** about what people think AND we are the raining world champions so we do have 1 or 2 good players. [/green] (i\'m at work and the formatting here is always messed up, i doubt it\'ll show green since it always adds the /\'s and i look like a bumbling idiot, so i shall do the figurative green, muaha) Which is bulls***, because out of those 6 players, guess how many Guillen ACTUALLY picked. One.- Enron founder Ken Lay has died

We got no respect last year until we beat the big teams, won the division, and won in the playoffs, why should Detroit be any different? To be honest for myself, I would feel a lot more respect for Detroit if they were at least .500 against us, or the Yankees, or the Red Sox. There is no doubt they are a good team, but they have a lot of guys who have not won anything, so it will be interesting to see how they preform down the stretch.- New Jersey Casinos close

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jul 4, 2006 -> 12:47 AM) Hey Tiger fans, I'm curious, are there any good Tiger sites on the web? If not, would you guys be interested if we could put together some sort of site for you all (not that you aren't welcome here, cause you are, but a place that you guys could call home). You tell me cause a lot of you seem like damn good posters who follow your team and other teams. We could probably put something together. If you have not done so, go to just Soxtalk.com and check out the front page. Notice that there are sites for almost all of the Chicago teams (the Cubs site will come soon enough) and envision the samething except for Detroit. It would be a one stop shop for all things Detroit. (Pistons, Lions, Wings, and Tigers) - Rush busted... again
