  1. QUOTE(JimH @ May 12, 2005 -> 09:36 AM) Hey, I know a guy like that!!!!!!!!!!! Heck even if they win sometimes...
  2. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ May 12, 2005 -> 09:32 AM) Well any time you can post a recap of our game, we really appreciate it. It's really good to know what's happening with our prospects more in depth. Hell Yeah it is nice. It gives us such a much better idea of what goes on off of the statsheet. We really appreciate all that you minor league guys do in relaying info the way you do
  3. All right, it is nice to see mreye aren't alone in working in downtown...
  4. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ May 12, 2005 -> 09:15 AM) Both teams have been pitching well, but head to head, I give the slight edge to them in this series. Neither team is exactly tearing the cover off of the ball either. I expect close, low scoring games decided by an error or the few pitching mistakes. The Cubs pen will be the BIG difference in this series, I think... or at least I hope.
  5. This is my question to all of the baseball draft junkies... What does the Sox minor league organization as a whole, need the most? It looks like we have some great pitching and OFs on the way, as far as I am reading. We also have Fields at 3B, Lopez at SS, and some Catchers in the lower levels? It looks like 1B is pretty weak, as well as maybe 2B, as far as I can tell. All things being equal, what positions are the Sox looking to fill first?
  6. QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ May 11, 2005 -> 06:18 PM) ...and Clinton gets impeached for lying about a cum stain & a few BJ's. I wonder where the blowhard pundits' sense of righteous moral indignation is at with these sort of misdirections and deception coming out of Washington currently. They are probably the same place the liberal blowhards hid as their hero took money from Chinese nationals to influence the SEC and FTC...
  7. QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ May 12, 2005 -> 08:51 AM) Funny, when ESPN ripes the Sox everyone here says they suck and they don't know what they are talking about... But, when they give them credit, most here are all over ESPN like flys to a pile of s***.. Kinda like people who blame someone for everything when something goes wrong, and then gives credit to someone else when things go right...
  8. As well we should be right now...
  9. Damn were MJH all over this for their whole damned show yesterday. Its all they talked about I swear.
  10. QUOTE(YASNY @ May 12, 2005 -> 08:09 AM) Doctors, lawyers, politicians .... Website owners...
  11. Is Anderson already on the 40 man roster? And we do still have an open spot right? I would wonder if we would want to call up Anderson and make it a 40 man roster, because if we did, that would mean we would have to waive someone else if we needed McCarthy up here.
  12. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ May 11, 2005 -> 11:24 PM) Wasn't the whole reason for signing him a favor to his agent Art Tellem to help us with the Frank negotiations at the end of the season? Great now we will never resign Frank
  13. QUOTE(whitesoxin' @ May 11, 2005 -> 09:45 PM) YOU GUYS DO NOT LIKE CULVERS! YOU HATE EVERYTHING ABOUT IT, ESPECIALLY THE POWER SURGING FAILURE AT LIFE MANAGERS! But seriously, the food is good and all, but working there sucks big monkey balls. Just wait until I bring our softball team in to visit... you don't work next Monday do you
  14. If they have it, and it isn't a forgery like half the crap they have thrown at this administration, throw the book at them.
  15. QUOTE(KipWellsFan @ May 11, 2005 -> 11:04 PM) Sorry that pic is not bigger. I'm pretty sure the website gives it's own description for yahoo so I'd say NBC was perfectly correct to say what they did (edit:maybe not). I also just looked it up on google but it says nothing about being conservative. So now I'm thinking Yahoo just made that up. Also courtesy wikipedia.org, I know, not the best source http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Judicial_Watch Cephas Ministry has this as an opening statement Don't know why you used this site as an example, they are obviously an extremely religious news source. In the end all this bias stuff is just frustrating and gets us nowhere. See also, Irony.
  16. QUOTE(valponick @ May 12, 2005 -> 07:50 AM) Yea, I know the field drains very well, just looking at the radars and stuff the rain is supposed to be relentless over the next 48 hours. I'm going to brave the storm and get my ass out there I suppose, although I know it will be a fierce, drunken battle with mother nature. If there is a 3 hour window tonight, they will play this game. That's how I would look at it. And if its light rain, they will play on.
  17. Unless there is some huge line of storms that looks like it will never end, they aren't calling the game until after its start time at very least. Usually you are talking 9 or 10 o clock though. My guess is unless it rains for hours during the time of the game, they will play. Comiskey is the best designed field in baseball when it comes to drainage. Even if it rains hard all day long, the field will be playable.
  18. QUOTE(Steff @ May 12, 2005 -> 07:21 AM) No, no, no... It's all Willie's fault. But Willie is the MVP, how can it be his fault? Damn now I am all confused and upset again.
  19. QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ May 11, 2005 -> 10:33 PM) as a hitter Mike Hampton>>>>>Timo Perez Are you kidding me? Me>>>>>Timo
  20. AJ is going to make Contreras look real good this year. And we all know how stupid some teams can be while looking for pitching, even based off of one good year.
  21. That's rich. I wish I could get paid to be wrong all of the time
  22. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ May 11, 2005 -> 09:57 PM) This guy is such a dumb-dick. What a f***ing asswhole. s***, we have fans and passinonate ones! The Cell a "Characterless Barn"? Are you f***ing serious? More character than the 100 year old urinal! f*** BECHTEL! Especially coming from an Indians fan 2005 USCF>2005 Jacobs Field.
  23. When you have scheduled a stop on your honeymoon around baseball. When you have your vacations around the Sox, and if not included stops on your vacations around the Sox. When even Cub fans come to you to ask for information on their team When you go out to eat, and you plan it around places that will have the Sox on TV. When you can still name the starting line up from the first team you remember as a little kid, including their batting order. When you name your pets after Sox players. No event is too important not to sneak out of to see if the Sox were winning, including your own wedding reception. It makes you mad to see fellow Sox fans not enjoying a special team. I know there are more from me.... I'll probably post more later.
  24. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ May 11, 2005 -> 11:32 PM) Does anyone think that if Brazelton was on a team with a good pitching park and good pitching coach, he'd probably be much better than he is now? That and he hasn't won an away game in his career in the majors. Great performance by El Duque again though. $8 million over 2 years very, very well spent. To be perfectly honest, I think you could have God himself as Tampa's pitching coach and it wouldn't have made a difference. The kid just isn't ready. He is incredibly talented, gets tons of movement on his pitches, and has a bright future in baseball, but right now he needs to work out the kinks in a no pressure, minor league enviornment. I just hope they didn't crush this kids confidence by throwing him to the dogs too early. I hate to see young kids get ruined by s***ty organizations.
  25. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ May 11, 2005 -> 07:42 PM) Of course KW was the brains behind hiring the idiot that screws up everything in the whole world. Ah, now it all makes sense. It is both of their faults.
