  1. QUOTE(YASNY @ Mar 14, 2005 -> 06:20 AM) From Doug Padilla of the Sun-Times: Even though MLB wants to pretend they had a blind eye and didn't know that steroids were as prevelent as they are, here is proof to the contrary. Giambi had no ties to the Sox, yet KW got assurances from Tellum before signing Giambi. So, it is very easy to come to the conclusion that Jeremy Giambi's steroid use was well known throughout baseball. If it wasn't, why would KW ask about them? Yeah, at very least there are guilt by associations going on here. I like the fact that Tellum stuck up for the guy. There might not be a better agent-owner relationship on the Sox than what Tellum has with this team. Hopefully that means something good. It also makes sense why the Sox are giving this guy a chance. This is a favor to Tellum, no doubt.
  2. Pablo has looked solid this year, and I will be really interested to see if he can carry it over to when they start seeing more major league pitchers as camp wears on. Regardless, he looks like a fine 25th man.
  3. QUOTE(munchman33 @ Mar 13, 2005 -> 08:43 PM) Well, based on the fact that Contreras has never had a losing season, I'd say your pessimism is more trolling than anything. DBAH0 trolling? Now I have heard everything.
  4. QUOTE(The Critic @ Mar 14, 2005 -> 01:14 AM) I'm not surprised, there are a lot of stunningly attractive people in their 40s. ( FUN FACT: Did you know......The Critic is 41 years old? ) And coincidentally not attactive
  5. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Mar 14, 2005 -> 07:45 AM) Interesting Hardball Times Article here about which players they think will improve on last season and who will go the other way. They think Buerhle's ERA will increase from 3.89 to 4.41. http://www.hardballtimes.com/main/article/...es-could-speak/ People have been predicting the downfall of Buerhle for years. Basically his only downfall has been pitching half of his games in the worst pitchers park in the AL. All you have to do is look at his road splits to know that.
  6. QUOTE(shagar69 @ Mar 13, 2005 -> 11:16 PM) o the lyrics have nothin to do with it my friend. Talent wise there are a 100 rappers better than 50. But his charisma, appeal, and hype will lead him to the top. And he already is there any ways, lol. Out of like 10 stories about music these days, half are about him or about somebody connected to him. He is not talented at all lyrically hes just an amazingly smart business man Lyrics have nothing to do with it? Its RAP, what the hell else is there???

    QUOTE(whitesoxfan56789 @ Mar 13, 2005 -> 08:33 PM) How much did she charge?
  9. QUOTE(TheBigHurt35 @ Mar 13, 2005 -> 10:25 PM) And Israel will do it, too. The precedent was set with Iraq back in, IIRC, the early '80s. And isn't Israel still technically "at war" with Iran? I think they are technically still at war with the entire middle east.
  10. Blues Brothers would be my personal fav. I have to throw in ER though, not a movie I know, but lots and lots of Chicago shots in that show.
  11. QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ Mar 13, 2005 -> 06:39 PM) not at all. both cuse and OU are capable of beating duke. Dukes road always seems to go soft in front of them. Hopefully they go out early.
  12. That's incredible. Michael Johnson was a freak of nature. The two hundred he ran at the 1996 olympics is something I will never forget. Both of his 100 splits would have been world records.
  13. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Mar 13, 2005 -> 04:30 PM) I'll never get married again. Nice... Just don't send us through Dtown brotha
  14. What happened to Robin?
  15. Crede Ks to end the 4th stranding Dye at 3rd. Still 1-0 Sox after 4 innings of play.
  16. Shingo warms in the pen as Crede hits.
  17. Borch gets nailed on a back door slider. 2 down.
  18. Nice sac bunt by whoever took over for Aaron, #78. Dye into 3rd, one down.
  19. Jermaine Dye a leadoff double to start the 4th.
  20. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Mar 13, 2005 -> 03:06 PM) El Duque looks really good. Hitting his spots. He looks ALOT better after his first inning of work. His fastball seems like it is just under 90, along with sharp break and movement on his offspeed stuff. On a side note, Jeff Francsis has looked solid, but not all world like he has been advertised. He has pitched from behind a decent amount, and guys have been getting good swings on him.
  21. Nice throw on an SB by Widger, but Ozuna dropped the ball. Helton flies out to the track to Dye to end the inning. 1-0 Sox after 2 1/2 innings of play.
  22. QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ Mar 13, 2005 -> 02:41 PM) I have no idea who was up for the Sox but flyed out 3 outs going to the 3rd Sox up 1-0 Widger FWIW Aaron is out of the game alredy... They are worried he might have hurt himself.

  24. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Mar 13, 2005 -> 02:29 PM) wait a sec, i thought Wood was healthy? THe team says he is, if you believe that.
