  1. His defense has been KILLING him. he is giving up about an extra run per game which can be attributed to his defense.
  2. Which puts him squarely in the middle of a lot of rotations with a near average ERA.
  3. If he pitches like Lucas Giolito he is in the $20 to $25 million range on a long term contract. Vintage Lucas Giolito is a top of the rotation starter. $10 million year in 2022 is a 4th or 5th starter who can pitch 200 innings a year, which is what Lucas's numbers look like after his defense adds on an extra run a game to his ERA. If guys like Johnny Cueto, who hadn't had even a decent season since 2018 are still getting jobs, Lucas Giolito is having every single team in baseball call him if the Sox were stupid enough to non-tender.
  4. This isn't even remotely true. With as little pitching as there is in baseball, there will be about 29 teams calling him if the Sox let him walk.
  5. Pretty sure they don't.
  6. As much as they should, the White Sox don't have the stones.
  7. It doesn't matter what you do with your "allocations" if you are dumping your best hitter to do it.
  8. I kind of doubt it, but I really hope he is for real. It would make things a lot easier with another lefty power bat.
  9. You have also said it multiple times over the last few weeks, so it isn't even out of line to mention it.
  10. If I slip the Doc a hundo, you think he would rule him out for 23?
  11. Well hopefully people start cancelling tickets very loudly then.
  12. Even if it isn't true, he isn't going to say anything else. It might mean something, but it very well might not either.
  13. He's angry? Think of how the fan base feels.
  14. Pretty sure the Braves weren't two under after 128...
  15. This is fine.
  16. At the end of the day, the Bulls finally took decisive action once the stadium stopped being full. If anything can wake Jerry up, its falling attendance and ratings.
  17. Giolito hasn't said anything about his defense. I think you are confusing fans who watch the games, and the statistics that agree with them, with Lucas.
  18. Giolito and Lynn are more victims of their defense than themselves.
  19. I wouldn't even waste time talking about a guy like Leury Garcia or Adam Engel. How can you be in a conversation about value when no one values you to start with? This list has to be between Grandal and Moncada based on them having actual expectations for this season.
  20. This could be HUGE.
  21. And the manager loves compounding already injured players by sending them out there until they break. You don't get to endanger players and then use their inevitable injuries as an excuse.
  22. In 2022 that is The Will To be Wasted
  23. You know Sox fans have thrown in the towel when a sweep by Arizona only generates an 11 page game thread. 2 months ago this would have been 50 pages of nashing and outrage. Now? Meh.
  24. I would rather get a real manager into town and really evaluate what is happening with this team. There would be nothing worse than trading away someone like Eloy or Moncada for them to find real leadership somewhere else and get back to themselves.
