And that is what happens when you melt down a team and start over. Everyone raved about how much talent the Indians had aquired and grown in their farm system. But if there is anything that we as Sox fans should have learned, it is the pitifully low rate at which potential turns into ML preformance. The kid has certianly earned a shot at a bigger, more important role in the pen, but I don't know that I would throw him to closing right away. -And there is no doubt in my mind that the Sox will not be at AM1000 after their contract is up. It is all a matter of where they end up.

And I totally agree with him. Who should he replace? To a man, every guy in that pen has been doing his job. Even Koch has only had one bad game, just like Marte and Takatsu.

He was actually pretty pissed off about it, he argued the call with the ump, but it was the right call. Ed Perez made a great play getting his lower leg down accross the front of the base, giving Carlos no where to touch the base. Fundementally it was a great play by the 1B, a great example for any kids out there. Now if Carlos goes in spikes first, he is safe, or Perez is hurting.

Now if only it were the Twins, Royals, or Cubs trading for Rick WhiteFlag...

I did see Ozzie go back to the lockerroom, as well he should have. there is ZERO excuse for being picked off in the 9th inning, and I remember it happening last year to Carlos as well. He is damned lucky that we won this game dispite his stupidity. If we lose 5-4, he gets crucified. Hopefully Ozzie ripped his ass a new one, so he never forgets this time.

The point is the attitude on the field. They aren't quitting. This might not be the brightest team in MLB, but you don't unlearn 5 years of bad habits in two months. This team gives a s***, that is what matters. That is at least 3 games we have won this year, that the corpseballboys quit and collect their paycheck for. That is 11-7 and a game out of first versus 8-10 and panic reigning in the Southside. Corpseball is dead.

Once AGAIN. This is a game that no team since 2000 wins. After the 2 8th inning runs, the 2001-2003 teams quit and go for the fences. This team scratched and clawed and won another miracle. f*** YES!!!!!!!! :cheers :cheers
