Too bad for Burke. He really earned a place on this roster, and his versatility would have helped. That Loz injury means you have to play it safe though.

There is one way. Milton Bradley is a terrible CF. He is lazy, doesn't pay attention, and gets terrible breaks on the ball. I remember last year watching him turn two fly outs into triples in one game.

rumor is that there are more players who read this board, throughout the organization. There is some speculation as to who they are, but no one knows for sure, so I am going to be quiet about guesses.

All good suggestions guys. I think for a first chat, it went really well. I was more afraid of someone making an idiot out of us, and really people handled it pretty well. I actually like the idea of having a half and half chat. The first 30 minutes being moderated questions about baseball that are taken in advance or sent to a few people to submit one by one to the chatee. Then we can open up the last 30 mintues or so for a more person type free for all. Now that would depend more on who is giving the chat and how they wanted to do it, but I do agree if there was a little more control over the rate of questions, we could get more quality answers. Keep the suggestions coming, because I have no reason to think we won't do this again. Bmac and Baj sound like they should be willing to particpate. I am thinking a chat a month would be cool.

Damn now that was a fun morning! After the number came out the Dow futures rallied 150 point, the bonds dropped 4 whole handles, gold dropped $10, silver dropped $15, the Euro dropped 150 points, all in about a minutes time. Phones ringing off of the hook, errors happening, people panicing... Now I remember what I love about this business

That's it, I kept thinking of mark fyderich(sp) and I knew that was the goofball from the 60's/70's.

Thanks to all who participated. I am guessing we had about 50-60 people go in and out, and had a max of 33 people in the room at one time. You guys made this very cool. And special props to Jim Bullard who answered a ton of questions, and even had some fun with our resident goofballs. We should have an archieve of the chat for those who missed some or all of it.
