  1. Look there is no doubt there are holes on the roster you could drive a truck through. But the players on this roster are very largely underproducing their abilities in many different ways. And it isn't just the offense. The defense has been WAY scarier to me than the offense. Even past a few guys playing out of position, guys like Tim Anderson and Jose Abreu have been TERRIBLE defensively. Like I have never seen them look so bad in their entire White Sox careers defensively. This bullpen is supposed to be among the best in baseball, but there isn't a single guy out there who has pitched up to their potential.
  2. Tony LaRussa is on the one who can needs to be fired. Even if you want to place all of the blame for this offense so far on the hitting coach, he doesn't get the blame for the defense, or for the bullpen. He also doesn't get the responsibility for the lack of health of this team. But when you are missing major pieces of the team , plus benching starters on a regular basis, this shouldn't be that much of a surprise that they don't hit consistently. Honestly, maybe it took a while, but this team looks exactly how I was afraid it would look last year when Tony took over. Maybe it took a while for him to lose them, but they look lost. I have never seen guys like Tim Anderson and Jose Abreu look less sharp and excited about the game.
  3. Carlos Rodon had absolutely zero trade value in the last few years except for when they needed him most last year. He was hurt in 2019 and 2020. He was a free agent in the winter of 20-21, and got a $3 million offer as a starting pitcher. That right there is the definition of zero trade value.
  4. So Tony gets a back to back playoff team with a top flight offense, defense, and pitching staff, and when all of that self-destructs the manager isn't responsible for it. This is circular enough to establish its own orbit.
  5. Unless it happens to be taking the decade off. Bright side is it is a Hall of Famer of a server.
  6. It's our new TLR Server. It only works when it wants to, and makes sure to get lots of rest.
  7. FWIW, buy it now is about $50 on Ebay.
  8. Dallas throws shut out ball and the Sox walk off Chapman, just like Tony drew it up.
  9. If anyone ends up with an extra, I've got cash. Message me.
  10. Gee, I wonder why they didn't play. Now we lost Gio. Wonderful.
  11. Been a minute since I saw a bloodbath like this.
  12. Nice pivot with the loss of Cruz.
  13. Dude has been through some rough negotiations with the Bulls in the past. Hopefully this is just him ensuring he gets his full max deal, and not him feeling like management destroyed the relationship.
  14. Harrison at least seems to be a pretty effective defensive utility guy.
  15. I get the feeling we are holding on to him for as long as we can for an insurance policy. I really think if we thought he could help, he would already be here. They have him until the 15th, so just in case an injury or something happens to change the equation they aren't releasing him yet.
