Jon has the sinking fastball tonight. We need to hold these guys and set the alarm clock for the offense.

6 pitch first inning for Rogers. Alomar and Thomas go out on the first pitches. And these are supposed to be our patient hitters!

The question of the night is who is the Sox Superstar? Whoever it is, it is time for them to carry this team to the promised land. Will someone answer the call?
  8. Does someone have a link of the Bush Admin actually connecting Saddam to 9-11?
  9. For our own confidence sake, we have got to get to the Gambler early and often. We cannot let the Twins score first, or I would almost guarentee that we lose.
  10. Actually he hit .373 combined between the two leagues, but point well made.
  11. Can you post the article. It is subscriber only.
  12. We may see one of them starting in RF or LF next year. It might be RF if we can't get somekind of a long term deal worked out with Magglio...

Maybe what he is saying is that you would have to be born in 1998 to believe his crap...

Or the Bears would be the worst rated team in the NFL. Well at least we know who we are fighting for the #1 pick... BTW for all of the college experts out there, who are the top canditates for the #1 pick in the '04 draft? http://cbs.sportsline.com/nfl/story/6645334
  16. He is hitting .250 with RISP. That is the problem.
  17. http://www.bible-codes.org/ They have been running an interesting story on this, on the history channel lately.
  18. If we don't win the next two games, 7/9th's of our fate rests with the Detroit Tigers. Do I need to say anything more?

He said he was "born" in 1998.
  20. http://www.msnbc.com/news/961894.asp?0cv=CA01 Virgina Beach is one of the manditory evacuations for the Hurricane, so no Roman for a while.
  21. That's pretty much what it comes down to. I don't see how 2 teams who were expected to battle for the division title all year long get completely different schedules in September when the gms count most. I realize in the end everybody has played the same schedule. But somethin just ain't right about us playing the Yanks and Red Sox in Sept while they're playin the Tigers and Indians. Look at the Cubs in their division. They've been playin cupcakes all month. It just doesn't seem right. At the beginning of the year the Royals looked like the worst team in the division. To blame the schedule is foolhearty. I realize that. But u would be hard pressed to ever name a year in which 2 teams that were expected to contend in Sept had such vastly different schedules. The Sox and the Twins had the same schedules. The Sox played all of the same teams earlier than the Royals and Twins did. Just because of the timing of when specifically some teams are played doesn't make a difference. We played all of the same teams.
  22. Thing is, because the offense didn't score anything, it really doesn't matter who pitched. The only potential bright spot is that Loz only threw 76 pitches and might be able to go on 3 days rest.

Maybe if Cleveland has a dead arm power closer to trade KW could be duped again Didn't Wickman miss the season with arm surgery of somekind? He would be perfect.
  24. I still say that the Twin has to go. I am convinced he is a jinx!
