The other interesting part of that story was Farmio eluding the fact that Pete Rose would not vote shares for anyone who wasn't with the team all year, so that it did not dilude his share. Funny how that kind of karma comes back around to bite you in the ass. And yes, good for Carl Everett. The guy has really grown on me in these few months and it is too bad that it sounds like he is not coming back here.

I agree that the French people as a whole are not saying this, but the fact that this book is such a big seller does serve as a sort of indictment of the French people. I, personally, think the French are worse than useless. But I guess being the butt of many a joke is enough to give a nation an inferiority complex.
