Hee Sop Choi just got knocked out cold in a collision with Kerry Wood. As he fell his head bounced off of the dirt on the foul/fair line HARD. It was ugly and he is still laying on the ground.

Anyone think that we had a steroid problem on this team last year? It was something that just popped into my head after watching Sosa and knowing that he lost 20 pounds coming into this season. Did we have any guys who had a big weight loss during the off season? Could this be a possibility?

On a side note, watching this guy pitch the ninth how could he never succeed as a starter? He has 4 great pitches that he seems to be able to spot anywhere in the strike zone he wants to. Any of you west coasters who have seen more of him that I have, what was the deal?

Stone has always been a steadying influnence, the voice of sanity if you will, in the Cubs booth. He is an excellent and knowledgible announcer who has always been surrounded by complete idiots, IMHO. Personally I would LOVE to hear Hawk and Stone as a broadcast team.

Well Joe had two hits last night against a really tough pitcher to hit. His key seems to be swing early in the count. He always seem to have the same pattern where he takes a hittable pitch for strike one, swings at a pitchers pitch for strike two, and then has to go on the defensive for the rest of the AB.
