There was no way that ARod gets $252 mil on his own. There were no offers higher than 8 years $160 million. Boras had them bidding against themselves! That is a difference of almost $90 million! The NBA is a completely different monster. They have an individual salary cap. For someone who is going to make the max, there is no need for an agent. Baseball doesn't have such a structure. So your agent can make a big difference.

Juan Cruz just can't pitch out of the pen to save his life. He had great numbers last year as a starter, he was just victimized by no offense and bad luck. If someone puts him in their starting rotation, he will be good, IMO

Give Frank a shot for a while at 1B, what't the worst that could happen? He doesn't hit in the clutch? Hell he hasn't done that all year anyway, and neither has Konerko. If Frank can do it, let him play first. At least one of the two would be hitting.

Why should you be excited? One game is just that, one game. We are 7 1/2 games back, when we start to cut into that, then maybe I'll get excited.
