  1. Eloy Jimenez has been an OF for 168 games. In those games he has been so bad at it, that he has injured himself multiple times with his defensive negligence. We are to the point where Eloy doesn't get a choice as his horribleness in the OF is hurting not just him, but his team.
  2. He can play 1st from what I understand, and he can "play" RF from what we have all seen. He might be able to improve, but right now he is Daniel Palka bad out there.
  3. Boy, there is a whole lot of made up stuff in this post. I never made an qualitative statement about Dallas in this series of posts. You are the only one who has. To recap: Horrible Waste of money Obsolete Mediocre Don't trust him Little margin for error Not enough velocity If you are right, there is no GM in baseball lining up for the right to give him $18 million next year, and potentially his vesting option. You can't have it both ways. In the era of covid balance sheet, there isn't a GM alive lining up to take on what you described AND pay him that kind of money.
  4. Because it is silly. If a guy sucks and makes 18 million a year, who is trading for him? It's not contrarian, it's common sense.
  5. HE SUCKS! TRADE HIM, lol!
  6. Yermin was .302/.362 in the minors.
  7. Luckily these guys are professionals and their mental states don't matter.
  8. Again we have gotten the 3rd worst strike zone in baseball this year with Tony hiding in the dugout. This is not working. Why not try protecting your guys? If we had gotten results by hiding you might have a point.
  9. Well sitting quietly in a corner of the dugout has gotten us literally one of the worst strike zones in baseball this year. Working great there.
  10. You might be on to something if Collins caught every day, but Grandal, who is a top notch framer gets the majority of the reps.
  11. If you don't think there is a mental aspect to this game, I don't know what to tell you.
  12. It sets a tone for the rest of the game. Hell it isn't like Tony does anything during a game anyway.
  13. And that's why we get continually one of the worst strike zones in all of baseball.
  14. #1, it shouldn't have taken Katz getting tossed to wake him up. #2, Once Katz did get tossed, Tony should have done enough to join him. You could see Burr was still visibly upset after the inning. Protect your guy.
  15. Thanks for protecting your pitcher and coach there Tony. Cripes.
  16. I like what I have seen from Sheets so far, but I am definitely not willing to bet that he is our next RF on that week of ABS. Even if he does hit a decent amount he is looking like a terrible defender out there.
  17. So for the record, looking at FanGraphs, Andrew Vaughn is currently 10th in their defensive ratings amongst all LF with at least 240 PAs. 10th. He is 21st in OOZ plays. He is 17th in UZR/150, and 18th in arm. In half a season's worth of D measures, the kid is a middle of the pack defensive LF.
