QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Mar 13, 2012 -> 10:36 PM) Right I can read his stats but I have never seen him play and don't know if he is that good or a fluke or anything besides what I see on paper. Teams are going to be keying in on Peppers no matter what. Anyone who can consistently pressure the QB on the opposite side works. I can only imagine Mincey would get better next to Peppers.

Bears have signed special team LB Blake Costanzo to a 2 year deal.

Patrick Kane is starting to feel it, and boy do the Hawks need it. Great comeback win, 4-3 in the shootout. Now if we can somehow reduce the amount of deflected goals we give up, we could be peaking at the right time. Hopefully Toews can come back soon.

QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Mar 13, 2012 -> 10:19 PM) Honestly, I don't know much about Mincey but if he is a good DE I'd be fine signing him over Mario and with the money saved also bringing in someone like Atogwe or a OLB to help the team in multiple areas. 7th in NFL last season in QB pressures.

QUOTE (Soxfest @ Mar 13, 2012 -> 10:25 PM) Cap wise I just do not see it happening. Bears should still have the money to make it happen, especially if they can avid front-loading the deal. I like their chances with him having left Buffalo without signing.

QUOTE (dasox24 @ Mar 12, 2012 -> 10:16 AM) Right on. I'll be in Savannah as well. Supposed to be a great time. Apparently they are expecting their biggest festivities ever this year. The parade festivities might be bigger than New York's.

Michael Fabiano @Michael_Fabiano Report: Cortland Finnegan to the Rams...he's back with coach Jeff Fisher. 5 yr/50 mil per Schefter. Yikes.

So the Bears have a real #1 WR and a real backup QB? Phil Emery is the man! Also, I'd like to direct your attention to Brandon Marshall's twitter avatar. https://twitter.com/#!/BMarshall Lastly, if we strike out on Williams, I wouldn't mind Mincey at all. If they can get Mincey and Atogwe, I'd be extremely satisfied. Or maybe go out and sign one of the secondary WR.

QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Mar 13, 2012 -> 03:52 PM) Campbell would be a great backup QB. I wonder if they secretly go after Atgowe for S or maybe Routt at CB. Routt signed with KC a while ago. I wouldn't mind Atogwe or Landry.
-
Jason Campbell could be the next backup QB of the Bears.
-
This is hitting me like it hit me when we traded for Cutler. Back then it was, "The Bears have a legitimate starting QB". Now it's, "The Bears have a real #1 WR."
-
QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Mar 13, 2012 -> 03:36 PM) I think it would be better if it was Marshall/Meachem/Bennett. Obviously.
-
OMG WHY DO I HAVE JOB TRAINING IN AN HOUR!?!?!
-
I really love the duo of Marshall/Bennett in theory. I'd still use a 1st or 2nd to take a WR.
-
Mario Williams will visit with Buffalo first. Tonight.

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG GO SIGN MARIO WILLIAMS OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG

Greg Olsen trade doesn't look so bad now, does it?

Was Gerald Green's dunk posted on here? That might be one of the most impressive athletic dunks I've ever see. He was looking down into the rim. It seemed like his hangtime was forever. Unbelievable. Much better than Griffin on Perkins IMO.

What are your feelings on new tagline "Appreciate the Game"?
SoxFan1 replied to caulfield12's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I hate the comparisons to the Cubs all the damn time. They weren't always popular and selling out Wrigley Field. There is nothing lovable about losing. They will not forever be the #1 team in Chicago. -
QUOTE (MattZakrowski @ Mar 12, 2012 -> 08:52 PM) Hot Pockets are suprisingly underrated for drunk food. Anything you can throw in the microwave for a couple minutes is a great drunk food. I'm with you on Hot Pockets. Also: Pizza Rolls.

Redskins have cut Mike Sellers and OJ Atogwe. With the Bears already interested in Landry, and Atogwe being one of their targets from last season, I wouldn't be surprised to see them go after him.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Mar 12, 2012 -> 08:31 AM) God. Damn. It. Hawks extend Carcillo 2 years. WHAT THE

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 12, 2012 -> 12:50 PM) Or "The shoe company paying me $200 million over the next 10 years doesn't want me playing on the same team as the guy they're paying $300 million over the next 10 years". Stop with the Adidas thing already. They've come out and said they wouldn't mind them in the same market. Dwight even said it himself. Adidas is NOT stopping any deal that brings Dwight to Chicago.

I shaved 1:45 off my mile time but I'm still at 10:15. A long way to go, but I've come a long way too. I've been running more for stamina than anything, but I'd like to get under 10 minutes soon.

Here's an interesting take on Dwight: http://probasketballtalk.nbcsports.com/201..._medium=twitter It makes perfect sense. "I just want to win" but I don't want to win badly enough to join the team with the best record in the NBA with another young superstar and the league MVP? Here's the original Berger article: http://www.cbssports.com/nba/blog/ken-berg...-him-to-chicago God, it's so annoying. Even if they had to deal Deng and Noah, Dwight and Rose is an insane combo and you have enough depth to fill out a great starting five any way you slice it.
