Sometimes I watch Kentucky and think they could legitimately beat the Bobcats.
-
Two fouls on Davis in 6 minutes. Well, that sucks.
-
The White Sox are on TV! I am a happy camper.
-
This game is awesome. Harrison Barnes kinda sucks. He can't create his own shot.
-
Not great timing to lose him for 5 games either, considering we have NSH twice next week. Earlier reports also said that Montador is close to returning. Here's the original hit, which Shanahan didn't mention or show at all, that prompted Keith's hit: http://youtu.be/22wQYhn1bhA

5 games for Keith. Probably fair. Shanahan said the retaliatory aspect of the hit nullified the fact that he is not a repeat offender, called it "reckless".

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Mar 22, 2012 -> 07:39 PM) That isn't all that bad. Yes it is. Would you go on Twitter and bash your employer, say you're being disrespected and essentially ask for a raise?

My Pistons fan friend is trying to tell me that Joe Dumars is a good GM, that Ben Gordon was a good signing, that he could be the starting 2 on a championship team, and that contracts should be based off of their production BEFORE them and not AFTER them. My mind is boggled.

I'm terrified about my upcoming loans. My 6 month grace period is out in June.

85-59? HOW!?!?

QUOTE (dasox24 @ Mar 16, 2012 -> 09:13 AM) Yep, that's the word. Because of it falling on a Saturday, many more people will be able to go. I can't freaking wait. Leaving work in about 5 hours to get down there. That. Was. NUTS. We got up a 4:20 in the morning to reserve a spot at a square downtown and had a couple tents up right along the parade route. We were downtown by 5:30, got set up at 6, and stayed downtown until about 5pm. It was an absolute s***show. Savannah does it right.

QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Mar 16, 2012 -> 12:28 PM) I think Atogwe/Birk are past their best days not really interested in either. I'm hoping the Bears push hard for Wimbley and if that doesn't happen wouldn't mind Abraham as a specialized pass rusher with Izzy in on run plays. I'm also hoping the Bears bring back Okoye. Atogwe was hurt most of last year if I'm not mistaken, and the year before that, he was one of the top safeties in the league. He'd be a great FS to have and I think pairing him with Major Wright makes a damn fine duo. Birk is old, ya, but for a year or 2, he could still give you good production and improve the O-Line. And agreed on Okoye.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 16, 2012 -> 12:13 PM) I think it'd be worth paying more for Wimbley. My only concern is that he isn't really a true 4-3 DE or LB. Yet, he's got the skills to play both in a 4-3 system. You can line him up on the opposite side of Peppers or bring him in for Roach and let him rush the passer. And he's obviously much younger than Abraham. But both would be great additions.

A few targets I'd like to see the Bears pursue: OJ Atogwe, Kamerion Wimbley (if/when he gets cut), Matt Birk, John Abraham, Marcus McNeill There are also quite a few nice RB available. Michael Bush has come in for a visit, but other available names include Joseph Addai, Mike Tolbert, Brandon Jacobs, Ladainian Tomlinson, Derrick Ward...
-
Per Schefter, Raiders FA RB Michael Bush is meeting with the Bears. Chalk that up as a hell yes to me. And as someone mentioned earlier, you can also chalk me up under the "Bring in Dallas Clark" group.

QUOTE (2nd_city_saint787 @ Mar 14, 2012 -> 01:02 AM) Based on the latest Walterfootball. com draft If I were running things I'd.. Address the O line and grab a Safety in FA RD1 Whitney Mercilus DE RD2 Jayron Hosley CB RD3 Bruce Irvine OLB RD4 Ladarius Green TE RD5 A.J. Jenkins WR I think thatd be one hell of an offseason. I think Jenkins would be a steal in the 5th. As for the 1st rounder, there are a number of guys I'd take: Mercilus, Kirkpatrick, Upshaw, Hightower, Martin, Jenkins, Glenn, Hill. Basically best available. I'd love to be able to nab Orson Charles or Dwayne Allen in the 2nd and take a flyer on Vontaze Burfict in the 3rd or 4th if he's available.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Mar 14, 2012 -> 12:49 AM) Ny Post is one story. His attorney with another story. This sounds bad. Incident happened last night so it doesn't surprise me the Bears didn't know. That said, this could impact the overall trade. It also could result in Marshall being suspended. And more importantly, it means not only is he bat s*** crazy (which I can deal with) but he's abusive (which I have a problem with). I know he got stabbed but I wasn't aware of him having any issues with him doing the hitting. To me he was just Chuck Finley (but that might not be the case). Still WAAAAAY too early to judge. He obviously (allegedly) got into a fight. I'm willing to bet almost ANYTHING that he was trying to punch another guy and some dumbass decided to step in between.
-
QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Mar 14, 2012 -> 12:34 AM) I hope Marshall isn't in trouble. NY Post reporting he "slugged" a woman at a night club recently and now she is filing charges. Apparently he was involved in a fight with another football player and it's unknown whether he intended on hitting the other guy or the woman. http://www.nypost.com/p/news/local/nfl_rec...0KcuIXf8PiXfiIO

Sean Jensen @skjensen I'm told #Bears were finalist to land DE Jeremy Mincey, but he elected to remain with the Jaguars.
-
QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Mar 13, 2012 -> 11:40 PM) I wonder if this is an indication that the Bears believe they are still alive for Williams. I sure hope so. It seems that they at least contacted Mincey. And Williams apparently leaving Buffalo without signing is a plus.

Per Jay Glazer re: Brandon Marshall:

@JayCutler6: Told you we could get that #15 out of storage. Getting the band back together! Good to have #15 back.
-
Mincey re-signs in Jacksonville. 4 year deal.
-
Robert Meachem to the Chargers. 25.9 mil over 4 years.
-
Had this thought too: What if the Bears are sitting back and waiting for the Colts to possibly cut Freeney?
