Ah, crap. Another show I really like is getting canned. I don't know whu Arrested Development never gained more than the cult following it enjoys. Oh well, there's always the banana stand.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Nov 11, 2005 -> 01:47 PM) With the questions surrounding this case, it just means we will have to find some schmuck to test this out on... Jason? For $3 million. . . I will be that schmuck.

QUOTE(DePloderer @ Nov 11, 2005 -> 01:41 PM) Sorry, but do you speak English? He he, sorry. Yes it is a cool interactive animation. I build these kinds of things as science education pieces, and it was a bit of professional envy at seeing something it would take me a month to make.

QUOTE(Heads22 @ Nov 11, 2005 -> 01:24 PM) Is this why you're wasting your time posting while you should be working? Or is it the flexibility to post on Soxtalk? Shut up, that's why.

QUOTE(Sox Hustler @ Nov 11, 2005 -> 12:28 PM) I go to school right now and all I see is sox gear. Hell I go anywhere right now and all I see is sox gear. Thats pretty cool but sometimes it kind of ticks me off because then I think "where the hell were you asses when the sox were slumping?" Maybe out on the ledge with everybody else?

Oh yeah, Minya also has Muriel Hemingway's eyebrows.

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Nov 11, 2005 -> 11:30 AM) Actaully, she is in Texas for school this semester, so I often ponder why she needs to be on birth control....... Hmmm. . . er, uhm sounds like a keeper to me!

QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Nov 11, 2005 -> 01:23 PM) Whoa...that's kind of fun...I like seeing which ones you can actually get him to squeeze through. I like tossing him around and trying to throw him upfield.

Wow, for a while, Goji looked a lot like Gary Coleman. And Babyzilla looked like the baby in Dinosaurs, and also a little like the craptacular pink, fleshy Ripley-Alien hybrid from the 4th Alien flick.

QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Nov 11, 2005 -> 12:26 PM) Looks like the US adapted monster movie called Godzilla, yes. Looks like the actual Godzilla, no way. Of course, if Dakosaurus andiniensis had radioactive breath and huge glowing fins on its back, then I might change my mind. Ahem! Correct formatting on those scientific names, please.

QUOTE(DePloderer @ Nov 11, 2005 -> 12:16 PM) CLICK Whoa! For being a Shockwave file, and just 2-D stickfigure articulation, the kinematics in the body movement is pretty darn good. As a long time Macromedia Director jock, I'm pretty humbled imagining what the Lingo scripts for this look like.

QUOTE(SoxFanInDallas @ Nov 11, 2005 -> 09:11 AM) I know it is easy for a FAN to say this, but is ALL that worth it for an extra 2-3MM per year? Not that my numbers are anything like his, but I have taken lower paying jobs just because I liked the atmosphere, the security, etc. than what the higher paying job could offer me. And I am doing ok with the $10-15k less than I would have made. I'm in complete agreement, and I'm also one who has opted for a carreer path in an environment I love rather than a few $K more a year. The guy who spends a significant portion of his career with one team is getting to be a rarity. And I think the agents and the MLBPA are the ones who really push it, and not necessarily always the free agents themselves. FAs are pummeled with the notion that they have to go with the biggest and best offer, rather than taking a somewhat smaller hometown deal out of loyalty, because it's good for the other players and MLBPA to keep the market prices high. Maybe PK having Landis as his agent will allow some White Sox sentiment to creep in and they'll both be willing to take a little less to solidify Paulie's legacy as a one of the all-time great White Sox players. A naive thought, perhaps, but here's hoping.

Ah, an oldie but a goodie! :fthecubs

This is a cool find, and morphologically it's very diffferent than the other prehistoric croc. But only 13 feet?!? Some of the other fossil crocs could have taken this thing out in one bite.

With so much divisive political squabbling around here, it's refreshing when an issue comes along that I know we can all agree on. SMC Convenes to take up critical issue.

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Nov 11, 2005 -> 11:10 AM) Thanks Steff, my girlfriend is now scared for her life. However, I sent her the story, and she is no aware. Right, like you're getting any. . . I Kid Because I Care®

QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Nov 11, 2005 -> 09:39 AM) MLB sold the most programs in LEAGUE HISTORY during game 1 of the WS in Chicago. One of those purchases was me, glad I could help out and put them over the top. Hey, if I couldn't get into the park for the game, I at least needed to drop a bunch of money at the parking lot concessions.

QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Nov 11, 2005 -> 10:26 AM) ...what's "NAMBLA" again??? Is that the club for freaks and scum? It's the North American Asscciation of Man-Boy Love. You'll have to ask Gage about the details.

That's my county, about a half-hour north of me. Yippee.

QUOTE(Steff @ Nov 11, 2005 -> 10:12 AM) Right.. additionally the current hormone level (fwiu) is at a level that is "universally effective". They don't want to customize them. Costs too much. Since I'm already on the express bus to Hell I'll come out and say it. The morning after route, either the commercial product or a double dose of the normal pill, would be a lot safer because it precludes long term exposure to increased hormone levels for the woman. . . . Unless she's shagging up a storm, that is.

QUOTE(Texsox @ Nov 11, 2005 -> 09:26 AM) Humans wouldn't have stood a chance millions of years ago. Making it doubly good that the world is only about 10,000 years old. That's for the 37% of the country that, according to SNL, "believe Adam and Eve rode dinosaurs to church."

Causes 3x the number of blood clots, that is a serious problem. It seems like it woulkd be easy enough to scale back the amount of hormone by 60% in the next incarnation of the device, but that won't do the current cohort much good.
